I consider Spamalot, Spelling Bee, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Light In The Piazza to be the 4 nominated musicals and I finished seeing them all last night (my last one was the 8pm performance of Bee last night).
I truly believe DRS to be the superior show. I enjoyed all 4 of them immensely, but DRS in my opinion is the best one. I truy hope it wins.

my thoughts exactly :)
Howd you like Bee?
I had a great time at Bee. Nothing but pure fun. I laughed harder at Bee than I did at Spamalot. I can't image anyone not liking Bee. Pure entertainment.

the only show ive seen is dirty rotten scoundrals, i would be ecstatic if it won. does anyone else who has seen all 4 probably nominees agree with baddadnpa? ive only seen 1 so i cant really have a real opinion.
I have not seen Spamalot of Bee, but I was so thrilled with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels that I must say it will take a hell of a show to beat that this season.
Yazbek deserves it.

He doesn't deserve score though. maybe over all show. I haven't seen Bee so I can't say, but I'm not a fan of the DRS score in general. I liked some numbers, but as a whole i liked Piazza's more. I wouldn't be upset if DRS won best musical, as long as it didn't win best score too.
What? No one's mentioned Chitty?

You're serious?
Just got back from seeing Bee so now I've seen DRS, LITP and Bee. Spamalot is May 18th. At least of those 3, it's weird, but I think DRS was the best musical, LITP had the best score and Bee the best book and that's how the awards should go.
MAN, and I was rootin for Good Vibrations.

I saw bee last night also. i won the lottery! i thought it was very funny. but DRS is still my favorite new musical. I still have to see spamalot.
What about GOOD VIBRATIONS?

Having seen all four, I think it's going to go to Spamalot, but should go to Bee. I found be to be, by far, the most entertaining. Light was a beautiful show, and will def get best leading woman, but the show isn't commercial enough for a best musical nod.

When do they announce the Noms for the Tonys?

I haven't see Spamalot yet, I'm not sure if I'll even get a chance to see it before the Tony's. . .
I'm too lazy to wait for the standing room tickets

i've seen all but spamalot-seeing DRS and Bee 3 times a piece, and Piazza only once, as last time I was in New York, it hadn't opened yet. I loved all three, and think that it's a shame that they all had to open in the same season, as they all deserve best musical.
I agree that Plaza might not get a nod because of its lack cf commercial whatever. haven't seen it but, i did see DRS and Chitty, and I would really like those two to get nominated
I know I know, someone's gonna say something about chitty, but i liked it...its magical, yeah its big, pretty and loud with little substance, but it made me feel magical...and thats something
so go on ...tell me its stupid...i still feel the way i feel
