Well I hope this doesn't take it out of Tony consideration...
Okay, I almost typed that with a straight face...

It was that fun of an experience for me.

It was a mess, but let's be positive... we all moan and groan that no one tries anything new or different...at least it was that... how many people whopopst about this show actually saw it? Say what you will, Christopher Hanke was superb.
Plus that makes my Playbill worth something!
Now I feel like one of the people who got to see Carrie. Let the legend of In My Life begin... not many actually saw it, but for months everyone will say they did. There are THOUSANDS of people who claim they saw Carrie...if that were the case, it would still be running...same with In My Life, you watch.

I saw it, twice (I blame Patronus for that)
It wasn't as bad, as people said, it was worse.
Shakes head at P... I feel like telling them the tale of us going to the show, but I shall refrain, in order not to tarnish any good reputations.

Posted: 12/2/05 at 4:30pmWell I gave good advice last night...at chatterbox Max Von Essen talked about someone making loads and money by selling a dance of the vampires script and he said it has to be mega-flops to get good money and someone said they made a lot of money from selling a ragtime script and then I shouted out well, start collecting in my life memorabilia

I agree... Let the legend of In My Life begin!!!!!!!
P.S. And yay! An open theater for a new show! Go Drowsy Chaperone!!

I repeat:
Drowsy wants the Music Box, and at one point I heard they had it, but the latest I've heard is that Festen is not going to give up the Music Box. One has to imagine, sadly, that the Lyceum is going to be available soon, though. The Lyceum is really just slightly smaller than the Music Box, and could conceivably house Drowsy, if they are hell bent on coming in this season.

THe show was sooo bad, but sooo much fun.
Didn't they go to record the songs?
I want a recording.

Posted: 12/2/05 at 4:52pmThis was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. It was so bad it was good. I have to see it again before it closes.

I'm appalled by what I've seen and heard of it, but I so desperately want to see the skeletons and the giant lemon.
What do you think they'd do with the giant lemon after this, anyway? It's not very reuseable, unless Brooks decides to open a huge-a$$ lemonade stand.

Very sad news. I am proud to say I liked it!

sp78, you're just jealous that Winston was hot for you.
You'd have seen things differently if you were in the "VIP Box" with Anjilly and I.
Does that make it reach the 120 performance mark that Joe Brooks was hoping for?

No, it doesn't, Patronus.
I feel bad for the cast. Good riddance to the show, however.

Oh come on! It was interesting to say the least. It made you stop and wonder, "What the fvck suck duck was Joe Brooks thinking?"
I will miss it sorta...poor cast.

Posted: 12/2/05 at 7:23pmNot really. Just like have someone put you in a garbage bag and beat you around the head area with a lead pipe, it has a similar effect.

"Well I hope this doesn't take it out of Tony consideration..."
That made me think - how great would it be to have a theater version of The Razzies?

Posted: 12/2/05 at 7:53pmUgh, I want to see this so bad, oh well. I was kind of hoping for a recording, but I guess that's out of the running too huh? They should record flops, ppl collect these sort of things.
#49re: In My Life to close Dec 11
Posted: 12/2/05 at 8:05pmYes, of course - the producers and investors haven't lost enough money - why not put out some more for a recording that five people will buy in 20 years? Makes sense to me.
