IN MY LIFE to close Dec 11

I tried to start the "Penguin Poop" awards last year, but I was new and people yelled at me. (Back then I actually cared.)
There may be a revival and an "official" website. Mr. Brooks can fund it, his show can tour as "award winning" and Mr. Patronus can travel accross the country selling off other people's tickets to COLOR PURPLE so they can see it.

Posted: 12/2/05 at 8:22pmPenguin, I don't mean on this board. I mean actual awards. Real ones.

That was what I was trying to say, Brooks is going to make mine "real" it is less crazy than his show.
The "Razzies" started out as a joke by some freaks with too much time on their hands as well.

"An entertaining little show we loved along with the friends we know who have seen it."
From Mr. Roxy's comment we can deduce that he also has friends he DOESN'T know. Isn't that special?

I guess life really does turn on a dime. Joe Brooks is downright prophetic.
In one day within one hour, I learned that both Trailer Park and In My Life were closing. I had tickets for next Tuesday's performance of Trailer Park. As soon as I received definitive news that it would shutter this Sunday, I knew it was my karma to see In My Life. Soon, I, too, will be a member of the cult.
I suppose some things are just meant to be, and now "In My Life" is my destiny.
What a frightening thought!!!

Posted: 12/2/05 at 11:27pmIf you haven't seen In My Life, try to get over there and see it before it closes. (You won't have any problem getting a seat.) In the future, when there are bad musicals on Broadway this will be the comparison -- "well, it wasn't as bad as In My Life". I'm sure everyone wants to be part of the club that saw this dog before it closed. And remember --- F**K, suck, duck . . . . Lemons!

Posted: 12/3/05 at 12:11amI saw the show and loved it. It was very different and you have to watch it with an open mind.
re: In My Life to close Dec 11#62
Posted: 12/3/05 at 2:01amI saw the show tonight. I thought it was really great. Not nearly as bad as I heard it was. Everyone in the theatre enjoyed it as well. Though I did realize that the vast majority of the crowd was over 30. Srange how it never drew in the 15-30 demographic as well.

It is amazing but the same people who trash this will sit thru a gorefest like House of Wax or Saw & say they enjoyed it more
I will never understand

Posted: 12/3/05 at 10:51amI take back my earlier post(s). Drowsy Chaperone wants a larger theater than the Music Box.

The skeleton dance was one of the most inventive things I have seen on stage
This show will have life after Broadway as Broadway is not the be all & end all like it used to be. Yes Broadway is Broadway but theater survives outside of NY.
Cleveland has Playhouse Square. I was in the theaters years ago & the people of Cleveland are to be commended for saving these theaters & reusing them. Anyone from Cleveland, is the Allen still there & is so as what?

I seem to recall that the Allen was restored.
UPDATE: Yes, it was restored and is back in use, as a part of Playhouse Square.

Your comment evokes another question: "Is it deep or is it round?"
