Most of the Off-Broadway company will make the jump, including (of course) creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tony winner Priscilla Lopez.

Joining them in the 27-member cast will be Andréa Burns, Janet Dacal, Robin De Jesús, Carlos Gomez, Mandy Gonzalez, Christopher Jackson, Olga Merediz Karen Olivo, and Seth Stewart.

The ensemble is comprised of Tony Chiroldes, Rosie Lani Fiedelman, Joshua Henry, Afra Hines, Nina Lafarga, Doreen Montalvo, Javier Muñoz, Krysta Rodriguez, Eliseo Roman, Luis Salgado, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Rickey Tripp, Michael Balderrama, Blanca Camacho, Rogelio Douglas Jr. and Stephanie Klemons.

Previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre begin on Valentine's Day, in advance of a March 9 opening.

Awww yay! I am so glad to see that most of the cast is transferring and I'm also thrilled that Krysta will be joining the cast! I can't wait to see this again!

Carlos Gomez has replaced John Herrera as Kevin.

Good move.

I thought Herrera was the only weak link in the cast Off-Broadway.

The rest of the principals remain the same.

The guy playing nina's dad is new. the off broadway guy who played this is John Herrera. John was in the commercial and Carlos Gomez was not. I wonder what they will do?

Who is Kevin again in the play? Is he the African-American boyfriend of the daughter of Priscilla Lopez? sorry can't remember all their name.. I cant find my playbill box from lats year...


Edit : Kevin is Priscilla's husband.. the boyfriend is Benny. I just looked at my CD sampler from the show last year.

The side of Herrera's face is shown for a split second on the commercial. It won't make a difference.

I just want to chime in and say this is still my favorite new musical of the last 3 seasons. I'm curious why John Herrera isn't staying with the production, he was one of the high points IMHO. His solo "Inutil" was devastating, brought me to tears more than once over the 9 times I saw it off-bway.

I agree Matt, that his song was extremely moving, but my problem with him was the fact that I found his characterization in the book scenes to be one of an extremely unlikable person.

I understand that the audience is supposed to go back and forth with their feelings about him and his choices, but I just couldn't once side with him. I felt that the role needed to be played in a more balanced way, perhaps by a different actor, one with whom the audience could understand his battles from both points of view, rather than just being wholly against him.
