I had also purchased that seat for last night, and upon picking it up at the box office I was told I was relocated, but five rows back, and all the way off to the side. It was fine, but I was pretty frustrated that I wasn't informed. I bought it online, so they clearly had my email, and it really was just terrible customer service.

IMO, far and away, the best new play on Broadway this season. Johnny Lee Miller and Bertie Carvel both should have a Tony Award to add to their mantels for those two towering performances.

reviews seem mixed to positive, with a few raves. Thats enough to sell me on this one. I can't wait!!! The set seems huge so hopefully last row mezzanine at the Friedman isn't too far for this one. Really can't wait for this show.

As an update from earlier: Requested a refund in place of Row B, Seat 117 for tomorrow evening. Redeemed Row AA, Seat 111 of the Dress Circle for a performance next month. Hoping it's worth the Audience Rewards points!

Can anyone who's seen this describe the stage? The 30 under 35 tickets are either first row orchestra on the very ends or side mezzanine, but I'm not sure how high the stage is or if there would be more benefit to seeing it further back with all of its scenic elements.

I sat in row A seat 5 in the mezzanine, and had an amazing view! The sets are really awesome, and It was a great show! The mezzanine is very small, so there really is not a bad seat in the theater... In total The Samuel J. Friedman Theater holds 622 seats. Hope this helps!

I saw it from the first row orchestra and it was great, they actually removed one row because it had bad sight lines. The stage isn’t super low, but you don’t really miss anything.

I finally got to see this tonight and was thoroughly entertained. I can’t understand however, how Carvel got a nomination over Miller. Miller never seemed to leave the stage and I think gave a much stronger performance.

Saw this this afternoon. A good solid production of a creative play with excellent technical elements. I felt the two above title stars were fine, but some of the supporting actors were even stronger.

It’s funny though: in terms of a play about journalistic integrity (or lack thereof), I found the humbler Landscape of a Fact more compelling.

Finally saw it tonight (Friday) and loved it. Act 1 is a bit all over the place and could have been a bit of a mess with all of the scene changes. It settles a bit in Act 2 and Miller just tears up the stage. I found myself holding my breath at times. Carvel's subtle but powerful performance was just amazing to watch. How Miller was not nominated for an Olivier or Tony is beyond me. Carvel deserved that Tony for sure.

The set is wonderful and the supporting cast is excellent from top to bottom. Loved the musical number in Act 1. That caught me off guard but was fun.

All in all, another great night of theatre.

While I still would have given the Tony to Bryan Cranston, Miller was second only to Cranston in my opinion and deserved a nomination.

Did not get to see Network. Actually had no desire but I hear Cranston was excellent.

I was there last night too, uncage. I agree with mostly everything you said - can’t believe Miller was not given a nomination for this. He was incredibly good.

I loved just about every moment of this play. Goold’s direction was superb, and it was an honest joy to spend 2.5 hours with the staff of the newspaper.

But I was confused that Carvel won the Tony after seeing this. Don’t get me wrong, he was delivering a well crafted, subtle performance, but I was expecting something........ more? Or something else? Maybe a virtuouso monologue? Can’t put my finger on it.

I saw all of the nominees except DeJesus, so I can’t comment on him, but I would have given that tony to both Benjamin walker or Uranowitz for this season.

Am I missing anything here? Does anybody out there agree/ disagree with me?

I think I can kind of see what you mean. I had him pegged as winning the Tony, as his was my favorite performance out of the ones I saw (though I did not see Benjamin Walker who I also heard was fantastic). But I think it's more of the kind of role that you embody fully so it doesn't seem as if you're doing much. I think Patrick Page also does a similar thing for Hades, but think Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs. Also, his demeanor and vocal patterns seemed very menacing to me in the most simple ways, and I felt like I could feel his shadow hanging over Larry Lamb even when he wasn't on stage. I met him at stage door afterwards and he was just the sweetest guy, talking about how they don't really do that in London, so he's definitely playing a character very different from himself.

Not sure if that helped at all or made sense, but that was what I got out of it!
