...starts previews at Roundabout tonight, the 10-actor/1-piano Fiasco production that played the McCarter last year. I can't see this until January or February, but I'm pretty excited. Anybody going?

The separatists are separating again!
But this is a separate production. So it's different from the other separate Into the Woods thread(ses).

This is what happens. The rebel groups fragment and start vying for superiority.
It's like Syria up in here.

'It's like Syria up in here.'
I was gonna go with Mos Isley, but that works, too.

Much like Fiasco's previous work, it's very worth seeing, and I'm so glad Roundabout is giving this company a chance to make a bigger impression in the New York theatre scene.

This thread is only for complaints about minimalism, so let's try to stay focused.

Sorry, I'll revise.
How dare they only do this with just a piano. Sondheim deserves better than this. Nothing will ever be better than the original production. Etc.

Why would I pay $99 to see a minimalist version of INTO THE WOODS when I can pay just $14.99 to see the film version of it performed by a high caliber, multi-talented cast and hear the score played by an actual orchestra.
Keep your cast of 10 and piano Roundabout....you ain't gettin' 88 cents from me Rose!

Posted: 12/18/14 at 12:48pmNo complaints about minimalism at all. Unfortunately, the Fiasco cast could sing as well as a Kardashian screaming while giving birth. Not worth $99

Wildcard,
This thread isn't really serious. I think growl was joking.

Posted: 12/18/14 at 1:23pmSo are rights for Into the Woods restricted for other theatres in the five boroughs while this is playing? What are MTI's rules?

Dude, you've asked this question like 50 times here already. Why don't you call or E-mail MTI? That would clearly be so much faster and easier.
