Wow. Go Idina. She's signing with a major label.

Good for her, I'm excited.

Hopefully they'll keep her, unlike when she was dropped from Hollywood.

I wonder if Shoshana will be pissed.

Shoshana and other Broadway performers are dying for a major record deal like this.

Winning a Tony, and making you way in movies, sure helps.

I loved STILL I CAN'T BE STILL, I hope she can do another innovative album like that now.

Sorry Benzy, I have no respect for Shoshanna...most people know that. Not only is her singing sub-par, but she's rude, and has a crappy attitude.

I must say I like Shoshana's singing...and I like Idina's as well and I'm happy that she got a BIG record deal..she deserves it.

There are so many girls out there who could sing AND act Elphaba better than Shoshanna. Her tone is horrible, she screams her songs, I got chills from her "Defying Gravity" for all the wrong reasons. The comments she's made to people are also a total turn off. She is by far the worst Elphaba I've seen out of the bunch...

Yay for Idina, I wish her all the success in the world. Hopefully Warner Records will treat her right- Hollywood was stupid to drop her.

And what was the point of bringing Shoshana-hatred into a thread about Idina's singing career? This has nothing to do with the portrayal of Elphaba, so just let it go.

I know, I've had those feelings too, I totally understand what you're saying.

IF she does get big (or if Adam gets big) I'll miss the intimate gigs and storytelling.

Exactly. I'm getting ahead of myself, but I'd miss the intimate spaces, and the silly sentimenal things. I've been torn about the idea since they were cast, though.
