I think this role should be shared by two great actresses because of its vocal and acting demands. I personally must admit I'd love to see Idina playing Evita on Broadway-I couldn't afford to see her in London-but I think there are other actresses that also deserve the chance to play this role. If it was a choice between Idina and Madonna, I'd choose Idina just because I don't like it when actresses perform a role that they've played before (which is why I find it so annoying that LuPone is doing Mrs.Lovett again) but I'm sure Madonna would sell soooo many tickets. Other actresses I believe would make great Evas are: Jane Krakowski, Donna Murphy, Sherie Rene Scott, and are Victoria Clark or Bernadette Peters too old for this role?
