awesome picture lifeoftheparty!
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

Anyone know who was musical director/pianist for this show? Did Stephen Oremus come in from Chicago for it?

No, he didn't come in from Chicago. He did help put together the arrangement of "I'll Cover You" that she performed though. The pianist's name was Alex, but that's all I know.

re: Idina at The Zipper Theater

What was the different arrangement of Defying Gravity like?
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

re: Idina at The Zipper Theater

It sounded a little more mainstream rock, stylistically. And it was acoustic. I like it better than the one in the show.

re: Idina at The Zipper Theater

ok im probably the ONLY person who thinks this.. but the defying gravity that idina sang at the zipper totally reminded me of 30/90 from tick tick boom

re: Idina at The Zipper Theater

I am so jealous I couldn't be there. It was sold out when I tried to get tickets. I am so happy to hear how amazing it was and how this thread about Idina Menzel hasn't been destroyed yet. I have tons of audio clips from the concert and it sounds amazing. I am a huge Idina fan!! If any1 wants to talk IDINA/WICKED, PM me for my SN. This thread is amazing!!
