If the upcoming revival of running since the beginning of time Off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks is taking the horribly uncomfortable Snapple Theater Center (formerly the Duffy Theatre) on Broadway and 50th, where will Perfect Crime move to? Crime's also been running since the beginning of time, and I doubt Catherine Russell would just let her gravy train die, despite the fact that I have no idea what people see in it.

Anyone heard anything about this? I couldn't glean any information from a search or Crime's website.

There are 2 stages.
The Duffy Theatre and Snapple Theatre are part of the same complex, but The Fantasticks will be in its own theatre one floor above the Duffy. Is Perfect Crime's new theatre really that uncomfortable?
		     			Ah.

But wait a minute. Where is this other stage? When I finally saw Perfect Crime a couple of months ago it didn't look like there was another stage anywhere, unless it's another flight up.

And yes, Taboo, it is that uncomfortable. The whole thing is basically flat. There's no leg room anywhere, and the seats are poorly padded and extremely uncomfortable ick. Plus they pack everyone into the first few rows and they yelled in my when I tried to move in a 3/4 empty house. Ms. Russell was very gracious before the show though, and the giant Snapple vending machine was impressive.

Will everyone seeing the Fantasticks have to climb up those stairs that seem to go on forever? I hope not.

When I saw Perfect Crime it wasn't that uncomfortable. Maybe it's just because I'm small. I think the better question is, How is Perfect Crime still running after all these years??

I think perfect crime was on the 3rd floor...there was another theatre on the 2nd floor(with a tiny stage). I saw a staged reading, in the same theatre that perfect crime is performed in, and yes I agree it's very very uncomfortable. There's an elevator on the other side of the theatre, no climbing stairs necessary.
Are you serious? There's an elevator? Oh well, nothing I can do about that now.
Fantasticks is going to be on the 4th Floor, and there is an elevator right by the 1 Train Station.
This is probably a dumb question but is this production (Fantasticks) considered Broadway, Off-Broadway, or Regional, etc...?
Off-Broadway.

Yeah, neither do I.

The Playbill article said previews start July 29 and it opens August 16. I never got to see it before, so I'm looking forward to this!
