It's been asked here before and I will repeat it. The only one working today is Diana Degarmo. She's got the voice, she's got the stage presence and if you saw her Penny in "Hairspray", she's got the comedic chops. She is young enough to not look foolish in the early years and can age up. She also has the name recognition. Leslie Kritzer will put exactly one ass in a seat and we all know who that is.

^Good idea. She might be a good choice.

I saw Stephanie in Wichita in a beautiful Funny Girl production. For me she is the only one now for the role.

Ummm... she looks way too ethnic.

SHOSHANA BEAN!
I think the only way a revival could work is for them to bring in an unknown. No reality show BS either. The preconceived notions of the audience are gonna be with Streisand owning this part (which is why a revival hasn't happened yet). If you are to add a somewhat "known" actress to this, the whole production will be behind the 8 ball to start. This of course hinges on them finding the right "unknown" of course.
That being said. I believe in my heart of hearts that this is an un-revivable show becaue of Streisand in the movie and on Broadway.

I will go with Leslie Kritzer. Saw her at the Papermill also and she did a great job.
Am I the only one who is dying to see Sutton Foster play Fanny Brice? I mean she has the voice, she has the comedic timing, and she's an amazing dancer.
You guys need to hear her sing "I'm the Greatest Star", and you'll see. She will be stunning in the role!

No. I'm not "dying", but I think it would be a most appropriate role for her.

Definitely Stephanie Block, who has played the role, and would love to do a Bdwy revival. (I know this because I heard her mention it at a stage door)

I wouldn't curse anyone with playing the role. No matter who it wold be and no matter how good she is, she would get torn apart by critics and not to mention by most people who frequent the board here.
Barbara is so iconic in the role that I think people would have a very hard time accepting anyone new.
Julia Murney would be fantastic, I agree. Her rendition of "People" from the Actor's Fund Concert was amazing. Leslie Kritzer would be terrific, as well.
Natalie WEISS. She's currently Ensemble/Elphaba understudy on the 2nd National Tour of Wicked. Not only does she have a fierce belt, but she's got serious acting chops...
Agreed on Natalie. She has the sickest voice and is SO nice on facebook!
YESS. All of her Youtube vids really make me smile. She deserves it.
Shoshana Bean. Hands down please. She really needs to come back to Broadway. IMO at leas.
Natalie Weiss has a smokin' hot BOD, too. I wouldn't mind being her Nick Arnstein, if you know what I mean...except with a happier ending LOL

Looks like it's happening...
Caroline O'Connor would be perfect ( maybe a little old )
Caroline O'Connor
If I recall correctly Caroline O'Connor played the role in a Production Company (the Australian version of Encores) concert version of the show a few years back. Didn't catch her in it, but I think her take on the role would be incredible.
I really don't think age matters for this show, as long as the Fanny is cast well.
Here's her singing Parade from a different concert a few years ago. She's so fierce:
