re: If I were a Weissler, I'd...

gather up all the Busker Alley paraphernalia and photos of the original revival cast of Chicago that I had lying around the office and no longer needed and send them to a certain bwayworld poster.

(My email address is above if they need to know where to send it.)

Yeah... I've heard they are pretty cold couple...wasn't there some drama between them and Rosie O'Donnell years ago when she had her show and was hosting the Tony's?

NBC, all I have from BUSKER ALLEY is a kitchen magnet and a headache.

Hey now, I sat through Melanie Griffith as Roxie... I think that's punishment enough for all the bad in my life.

I didn't even know they'd made Busker Alley magnets. (I did buy the mug. On ebay. Both versions.)

Oh no, Dont encourage them, I feel it coming on, "Fran & Barry" - THE MUSICAL! (And VERY EGO-maniac casting too, let's say Brent Barret & Bernadette Peters as the dynamic duo - RIGHT!) LOL!!

CJR... stop, I'm about to pee!! LOL!

NBC..Yup, I have the magnet.. a little faded now, but I have it. My roommate at the time loved kitchen magnets and Tommy Tune. There is no accounting for taste.

Shouldn't this be sung to "If I Were a Rich Man" and put into Forbidden Broadway? NOW?

*meekly*

I have a "Stage Door Charley" T-shirt from when Buskers was in San Francisco and being called "Stage Door Charley". It has a solid image of T Tune on it. Where should I send it? (please....don't tell me)

I saw it three times (admits meekly) and swear I saw a different show each time.

re: If I were a Weissler, I'd...

After Zoe Caldwell as Charity, I think just about the only follow-up possible is Fiona Shaw as Dolly.

But if I were a Weissler, I'd probably go for a pop tart as a, uh, dance hall hostess. That would make sense.

Again with the missing "s." Honestly, If I could, I would correct the title of the thread, but I don't know how to do it. Until then how about:

a revival of MUSIC MAN with Donny and Marie Osmond.

re: If I were a Weissler, I'd...

They need to get Florence Henderson into Chicago as Mama Morton and Barry Williams as Billy. Really, she does a pretty fierce When You're Good to Mama.

Justme, I have a shirt from when it was called Buskers, with a color photo of Tommy Tune on the front of it, and his signature printed on the back. And yeah, I hear the show went through a lot of changes! A friend of mine saw a very early version which ended with an air raid siren going off, signifying the beginning WWII. Talk about a downer.

Hey CJR...yes, definitely dinner! Maybe when I get back from CA next week...

re: If I were a Weissler, I'd...

Forbidden Broadway have already had a go at the Weisslers. Fran and Barry singing "There Are Worse Shows We Could Do " to the tune of "There Are Worse Thing I Could Do" from GREASE. They were then joined by Sally Struthers singing " Look at me I'm 53, I'm no longer on tv..." Brilliant!
