"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Emily Skinner as Ursula.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Lyrics by David Zippel
Book by Linda Wolverton

David did well writing the lyrics to Tarzan, Hercules, and Mulan. He even worked with Alan Menken on Hercules! He should have been hired on.

With solid songs and book, the direction and costumes wouldn't have been such a big issue.
Bill Finn rocks. Woot.

You probably meant it as a joke, but Patti as Triton is a brilliant idea.

I agree, I think the cast is very well cast. I wouldn't trade Sierra for anyone, although I'd be tempted to see how Sara Ramirez would do as Ursula. I think Sean Palmer is fabulous in the role of Eric, but I would also love to hear Cheyenne Jackson in the role.

The cast I would keep. However, The entier creative team sans Menkin I would ditch.

I don't think that the problem with this show is the cast. I think it totally lies within the creative team.
