I admit it, I love Raven. I'd see her in anything.

Oh my God, you're RIGHT?!?!!? WHAT IF HE DID?!?!?!?!
Like, if he did it. He would be doing it. What if he did AND was doing it?!?!
Whoa.
Ahaha, I actually laughed out loud reading that.

I, too, like Raven. I think she's a good actress and seems to be a good person. She's coming to my town to give some sort of motivational speech. I'm considering going, it would be interesting.

Well, I'm always first to leap up and defend the poor kid, because I genuinely think he'll do a fine job in 'Hairspray' based on my own observations and comments by Marc Shaiman, but there is a world of difference between movie musicals and Broadway, as I'm sure we're all well aware, and I don't think he's currently suitable for Broadway. He's young though! Who knows? ^_^

The kid has some talent, but I would sooner die than see him on broadway.

Is that the production with Billy Crystal as Benny, Tom Hanks as Mimi and Meg Ryan as Mark?
You have NO idea what I would pay to see the Nora Ephron version of Rent.

I would go see Raven. But if Zac Efron is ever in RENT I will never go to a broadway show again, EVER! (well...maybe not ever)

I wouldnt mind seeing Raven as Joanne she might actually be very very good but Zac Effron should never come to NYC.

Raven as Joanne...HMMMMM. But imagine how many 8-12 kids will be at Rent if she plays in Rent.

Someone said he's 18 and too young to play LINK.
That makes no sense.

Curtain, I think they meant he looks too young. Personally, I think he looks like he is 14 years old.

It might teach the 8-12 year old kids some tolerence. I think she'd make a way better Maureen than Joanne.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

This thread makes me laugh WAY too much. Raven as Maureen is such an off the wall idea that it might work.

Raven would be an awesome Maureen.
Zac, however... please stay away from RENT. Notice I didn't say Broadway. I think he could pull it off in a couple of years. But RENT? I agree with gustof777, he looks too "sweet and un ruined".

I personally think that if you just stick some glasses on Zac, he'd make a good Mark.
What the puck?!

well I think that even if you could make him Mark he still would look way too young when put up against the others in the cast who are all atleast somewhat into their 20s and some older than that.

I'd actually love to see Raven as Joanne! But whoever said "think of all the 10 to 14 year olds who'd see it just for her"! That would be bad!
