I forgot to mention that before the show I ate at a cafe down the side of Charing Cross and at the next table was Douglas Hodge, scoffing pasta and reading The Independent. I didn't speak to him because I thought he could do with a bit of peace and quiet before the evening show and, besides which, I haven't even seen La Cage yet.
As with everyone else, it was great to put some faces to the avatars.
I actually went over to talk to Beth Trachtenberg after the show, and found her rather personable. The two things I said to her were:
1. I hope she keeps producing shows because we need more strong independent producers in musical theatre.
2. Give it another revision and take it to the US. It will be appreciated far more.
She seemed to agree with both, and claims that there are future dreams in place for Imagine This.
In the meantime, crazy Brazilian lady was crazy and quite entertaining as she had a total **** fit as we were getting out of the theatre and it continued for a good hour on the streets. It was quite the exciting thing!
Now pip pip I need to write my review for "Boys of the Empire"
Yeah it was great to meet you all =) Hopefully the fifth member of the group signs up soon! I'm off to Leeds until Wednesday so will speak to everyone then =) Xx
