It appears the grosses are increasing
Now they are ridiculouly low coming up from absurd. Is it catching on ?
We see it Sunday.
Lets hope so. I gotta see this before it goes.
No matter what happens, I doubt Joe Brooks should be rehearsing his Tony acceptance speech
Die In My Life!
You know, this really stinks. Why should they be aloud to misconcieve their TV spots and not get sued?

I've said this before:
IN MY LIFE is so bad that everyone should see it. It's hilariously bad.

I still don't get how "jaw-dropping whimsy run amok" is considered a rave. Its not really much of anything. Its not saying the shows good or bad its just saying what it is. And I love the commercials! They make me laugh. :)
I love how they say "Ben Brantley of THE NEW YORK TIMES raves: 'jaw dropping whimsy run amok!'" and then, without introducing the fact that its a new critic, they say stuff like "I urge you to see this unbelievable production" and "Ive rarely seen anything better" so you think those quotes are from the Times...ah, gotta love it.
I talked to someone yesterday who "knows I like Broadway". She told me to go see In My Life. She and her husband LOVED it. As a valid show.
Lordy.

In My Life is certainly an experience. And David Turner is glorious.

After seeing Sweeney on Sunday, we walked past the Music Box, and I would say by the volume of people walking out it was pretty damn full (75-80%). They just kept coming out, like you would see for Mamma Mia!. Also Hanke was standing there and had a HUGE group of fans around him. He also had an ance breakout.

I would like to see Chris Hanke get a Tony nod for his work in this show.
Truly masterful work.

My wife and I saw the show last week and loved it. It's quirky, funny, and touching. The music is good. Anyone who isn't touched by When She Danced doesn't have a soul. Some of our other favorites are: Wicked, Jane Eyre, Les Mis, Aida, to name a few, just to give anyone an idea of our taste. Inhope this show lasts. I recommend it to anyone.

Reviews and all that aside, from the first note of the music you can tell this show truly cares about itself. It does not come off as some commercial event, but as a piece of work someone truly put their whole effort into.
I certainly will overlook your recomendation.
I don't follow Brantley all the time, but if Clive Barnes hates it, no dice.
And besides, it looks and sounds horrible from video previews as well.

The show is overly cheasy, and quirky but it's really cute, and a lot of fun! I agree with BSoBW2 the show is a lot of fun.
The entire cast is extremely talented.
jv92- Why don't you see it for yourself, instead of blowing it off just because of reviews, and video previews? The reviews are based on one person's opinion, and as for video previews, seeing things live is a lot different. The show truly is a lot of fun. Don't let reviews rule your viewings.
