So a while back I think I remember someone posting the videos of a young boy rapping to the music of "In the Heights." If not, here (http://www.youtube.com/user/BroadwayKidd).
Anyway, he recently visited the show and was given the chance to perform part of the finale onstage with the cast.
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nV9IRY5A1s
WOW. That was really inspirational. What a treat for this kid!!
That was so incredibly sweet of the cast and crew to all get together and do that. Love that kid- I legit almost cried.
Anakela, I hear you!! Same with me.
I just saw this and was crying.
First of all, the finale always gets to me, and the fact that this kid was singing it...ugh. That's amazing of Lin and the cast to do. I love this show, I love this cast.
That was sooo sweet. Add me to the list of people in tears.
Yup, I'm crying. That is so incredible!
Truly fantastic of them!
Bitter and cynical me actually teared up. So generous of them all. Felice Navidad!

OH MY GOD I'm so glad to see that I wasn't the only one crying through the whole thing. Oh God how amazingly precious was this?
HAHA Oh man...what are my chances that I one day storyboard for the movie? DREAMS COME TRUE.
I mean...Oh wow. I've been waiting to see this show for almost a year now...and I'm so close...soooo close...to this christmas. It's gonna blow my mind.
This video just proved everything I love about the show. Lin Manuel is effin fantastic and the cast and crew...amazing people.
Amazing.
(Karen in the end just made my holiday season. <3 OH Karen! =D)

Wow, that was great! But is it me, or did they use the OBC recording of the song. When Vanessa sings "It won't be long now," it's Karen's voice but Marcy in the video. If so, that is some good editing!
Also notice that Janet is both Carla and Nina. They probably invited Nicholas to an understudy rehearsal.
This just proves how much of a family Lin and the rest of the ITH cast is. They are all good people and are actors because they ove what they do and they want to entertain others. No pretentiousness, just love.

That is so beautifull! ITH deseves to run longer then CATS for that video alone...
I went to watch this thinking, "I bet it'll be cute, but there's no way it could actually make me cry."
WRONG.

Fantastic video. Karen O. Is too funny :)
My daughter just watched that and said that was very nice but she would be PISSED if that was the show she went to.
I teared up too.
It wasn't during a show. Everyone was in street clothes and dressed for winter.

Where is Karen O? Isn't that Marcy?
I hear ya jennyish... I didn't think it was going to get me either, but here I am tearing up. That was just the video I needed to see today (thanks dancingthru!).

Karen is at the very end at I think about 5:18.
I never cry and I definitely teared up- definitely made my day a little brighter. Gotta love that cast.
Not only did it move me to tears, but that kid nailed every phrase of that. And the generosity of the cast and crew is inspiring.
