Inappropriate Musicals: A Quiet Place, Taxi Driver & Shape of Water w/ James Corden, Audra McDonald & Dan Stevens.
Fun and silly.

that’s not what the original post is about, but in what way is that an inappropriate musical?
I'm confused-- THE SHAPE OF WATER would make an absolutely perfect Broadway musical. It's practically one now in its screen incarnation. Am I missing something here?

I do agree that the show has exactly the right tone to make a great musical. Wouldn't it be a problem, though, that both of the romantic leads are entirely silent? :)
I guess they could rectify half of the problem with some more fantasy musical sequences.
Kdogg, I had a similar thought about Jane Campion's THE PIANO, which I think could be exquisite onstage. My ultimate solution to the problem of a mute protagonist was to go the Deaf West route and have another (visible) actress serve as Ada/Elisa's "voice," whether during soliloquies or musical numbers.
Tonya Harding: The Musical! (Starring Patti LuPone on ice skates.)

(And with an admittedly brilliant plug for Book of Mormon at the end.)

I would pay premium ticket prices for it, especially if Bernadette Peters plays Nancy Kerrigan.
This is the War Paint we were asking for.

And Andrew Lloyd Webber could play the judge in the criminal trial.

Is this a joke? We did a whole twelve-episode web series right here on Broadway World - not sure they have it up anymore, but most of the episodes are on YouTube. I think if you google the show you may still find them on Broadway World. Someone mentions Taxi Driver - we did it. Euan Morton as Travis Bickle. Apparently B'way World has removed them, since they're now about five years old. I think I'll put the remaining episodes on YouTube. We did The Miracle Worker with Beth Leavel, The Exorcist with Hal Linden, The Shining with Adrian Zmed, Soylent Green with Gregory Harrison, Fatal Attraction with Andy and Alet Taylor, and many others. Here's Taxi Driver: https://youtu.be/dvNgQdzvSlw

All twelve episodes are now on YouTube - just search Outside the Box or click on the Taxi Driver episode and the others should pop up on the side bar.
