He's "mulling" over playing Fiyero. Kill me. Thank you.

I'd love to see him in the role, but please no lol. He can/should do so much better!
He needs to create a successful role in the very near future, so we can once again bless our CD players with his voice. Speaking of, I need to go out and get Civilian...
EDIT: ok, good, its not out yet (right?), so I still have time lol

He'd be great, but that's such regression. He can do SO much better. *yells* Don't do it, Adam!
yes. Get Civilian. NOW!
Thank God someone said it first I was just wondering if I could express my love for Adam while adimentlly expressing how much I don't want him to take that role!!!!
PLEASE let him say no!

I got it! Lets get Steven Schwartz and Winnie Holzman together, have them write new music and expand the part of Fiyero, and then have Adam do it.
Oh, and while they're at it, they can re-issue the CD with the new music and include the song Wicked Witch of the East. Brilliant... lol
Yes, I know, extremely wishful thinking
Since Tarzan is not happening for a while, I wonder what else might be coming up in the near future that he might be able to do... Fiyero's a badly written character, but well... it's a job!

haha, extremely, timote. And yeah... mesmerized.... I decided that it was okay. I mean, of course if he took it I'd be right there for him, but I really hope he does better.
Timote, if you order Civilian on Sh-k-Boom, they ship now. It's AMAZING!!!!

hm, now all I have to do is persuade my parents to lend me their credit card... again (which reminds me, I still have to pay them for my last two theatre trips lol)
Hmmm...
An actor mulls over a paying gig? The tragedy is if he doesn't think about it.

This is true, Matt. If he doesnt have anything else, I can understand him taking the role, but he can get roles that are so much better.
Oh well, he'll be great in whatever role he gets next, so go Adam! lol
Well you know, anyone with a house in the suburbs and a family has got to keep working pretty steadily. As an Elton fan who enjoyed Adam a lot in "Aida," I was hoping there might be something for him in "Vampire Lestat," though that could be as far off as "Tarzan." All the stuff coming up in the spring is already cast, I would bet, so what's he going to do? He mentioned "Chicago" once, so maybe the "mulling" has to do with that still being a possibility.
$10 says he does it for the hefty paycheck in tow

I understand why he's considering it, as Matt said, it's a payng gig and hell, I'd play dress in drag and play Fieryo, if the part was being offered to me. It would be a complete waste of his talents, though, the same exact was it was with Norbert. I know Adam would bring something to the role, I just happen to believe, it's not a part he can sink his teeth into.

I'm sorry, bg2!!! I just realized that.

And you've got to figure that something I post about "Adam" will be about mine, not yours.

Anybody else remember when Adam declared he would never step into a role that was already created by somebody else? Knew that one wouldn't last long.
That said, why SHOULDN'T he? Wicked is a phenomenally successful show that brings in tons of tourists. No, Fiyero isn't the best role out there, but it's still one of the main roles in an extremely popular musical, and for a guy with two kids and a wife to support, not to mention a new CD to sell, I can see why it would look better than sitting around waiting for Elton and Tim to write their next big musical for him.
I remember that. He also said he wouldn't do "traditional" musicals and that he wouldn't return to shows he'd already done. Yup. That lasted long.
Anyway, I do think he'll end up doing it, and with good reason. It's a wildly successful show, it's a job, and a role in a show like Wicked is bound to help sell those CDs. It's just such a nothing role, and I hate to see that talent wasted. Oh well.. whatever it is, I'll be right there to see it.
I know it's a bit of a regression for him, but I'd sure love to be able to see him when I'm on my NYC trip in February.

I'm still not really clear on how it's a regression, exactly? Because it's been played by other people, or because it's not a meaty role? Or because we don't get to see his buttcheeks? Though technically, with those pants...
I hope he doesn't do it, but oh well.
So what's the news with "Tarzan", and I remember reading that he wouldn't be playing Tarzan, I think? Anyone have the story?
Ugh this means I'll have to go waste money on Wicked...again
Very deep, Cara. Nice. I know you'll be there, too.

I'd say it's a regression because it's such a underwritten role. Sure, Radames wasn't quite the best role on Broadway, but I think the music he got to sing made up for some of that. Fiyero doesn't even have great music, IMO. I don't think it's really regressing to play a role done by other people; Emcee was certainly a stretch for him, and he was the last.
nystateomind, if Adam does Tarzan, he'll be the "storyteller." Apparently Tarzan doesn't really speak much, so he'd be like the voice of Tarzan or something. *shrugs* He didn't say much.
You know, they should start getting ACTORS to play this role so it becomes slightly interesting.
Ah, well, at least if Pascal takes it he will be able to sing the role and no keys will be lowered for him.
I hate to ask this but has a replacement for Joey McIntyre been announced yet?

*SOBS HYSTERICALLY*
NOOOOOOOOO!
Adam, you are better than that! What a waste! Don't spend time in Wicked, it's a horribly thin part with BAD music, what little there is. *cries more*
Is there a way to stop the madness?
