re: Into The Woods- Sondheim AND Jonathan Larson?

Ourtime992, I believe you're bewildered by the frightening evidence of Jonathan Larson's genius, ability, and devotion to musical theater. After all we are talking about the man who figured out how to build a time machine solely so he could go back in time to devise a dream ballet for Away We Go and help Oscar Hammerstein II write that tricky scene in Carousel where the lovers speculate on what would happen if they loved one another.

You know, while we're having our little fun and games in this thread, we've all just accidentally spawned dozens of rumors about Jonathan Larson that will probably live forever? Kids 50 years from now who have no clue who he was will say things like "Yeah, Jonathan Larson was this guy who basically ghost wrote all the famous moments in musical theater but he died in the 90s after inventing the guitar and then it all went to ****."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

Jon Larsen also wrote "White Christmas", and Irving Berlin ripped him off.

He also wrote "Do You Know the Way to Santa Fe?". That bastard Burt Bacharach changed it to "San Jose" but it didn't fool anyone!
