Rock of Ages Toronto opens in April (and the full cast hasn't even been announced yet) but we got our first live glimpse at the production's leads last night @ CityTv 2010 NYE!

I disagree. They sounded great. Singing live, outside, in the dead of a Toronto winter at midnight, and still killing the vocals. Live outdoor TV performances almost always sound absolutely horrible and I was pleasantly surprised. There are some really strong singers in that group. The girl they have playing Sherrie has the best rock voice I've heard in that role.

I agree ! They need alot of work ! was very disappointed !
Elicia Mackenzie (I think thats how you spell it) didn't fit the role of Sherrie !

I caught the youtube vids and was also pleasantly surprised. I thought they sounded pretty darn good all things considered. Sherrie has a great voice. Dennis seriously looks like Adam Dannheiser's Canadian cousin. The actor playing Drew also seems to have good vocal chops. They also brought a lot of energy to their numbers.

It's possible that the vocals were prerecorded. Last Jersey Boys was for their NYE performance.

they were not prerecorded... and from what I understand this was the first time they ever sang together.

Just watched this now. Pretty good. I love Yvan Pedneault's voice. And the supporting characters sang really well.

Was pleasantly surprised as well. Obviously they still need some work as it's January, and they open in April! But, things are promising thus far.
