Could I get away with skinny jeans, heels, and a sparkly top? Or no jeans? I'd be walking around the city all day and don't really want to wear a dress-but I could if I had to.

You'll be fine. I've been there in a dress, and I've been there in nice pants. You won't even need heels, really. Have a good time!

I don't believe there's a dress code- I've seen people in t-shirts, I've seen people in suits. The site simply says you are "encouraged to swear smart casual attire."

The Carlyle it certainly ain't.
