Is color purple something that I should see?

I haven't heard much about the show eiather way. If it is good or not ect.

I am not big on the kind of music that the show uses for its score but I have known people who ent and that didn't bother them.

Is this something I should really go see or is it a more take it or leave it sort of thing?

Absolutely.

A must-see.

I might even recommend THE COLOR PURPLE as well.

If you two asses might take a look at my signature you will see why spelling on a message board doesn't matter.

"As an English major with a Master's Degree in English Lit..."

you SHOULD know how to spell.

*Edit* Wait, that quote is the reason you think you don't have to spell properly? Just because someone who CAN spell said so?

And I noticed in one of your other posts... 'Vomit' is spelt with an 'i' not an 'e'...

Get spell check.

A PM I just received from Winston:

"Simply because when your writing in a message board it is a VERY formal setting of writing."

I would say skip it. I only saw it for Fantasia and even though her performance was out-of-this-world I thought the show was a snooze fest.

Spelling correctly matters whether on a message board or not. What the heck have we come to when a person makes a statement like that?

See the Color Purple, maybe you will be inspired by the character Nettie who wants to be a teacher.

Oh my.

Go see the show.

Then take some English comprehension courses as well.

It's not a great show, but it is quite enjoyable with some great songs. I say go for it if you've already seen many of the other shows on the boards.

This is random. But I had NO idea Winston was a female until I checked their profile.

He said he played the role of Otto Frank, so I don't think he's a woman.

And winston, you should stop posting because you're just going to make yourself look like an idiot.

It wouldn't surprise me if Winston accidentally clicked on the wrong gender when setting up his profile.

I felt the same way you do about The Color Purple before I saw it. I could have gone either way. After I saw it I was SO glad I did! It's really a great story and it's worth it.

As for the spelling....why do people care so much? Is it really that big of on offense that someone should be told to no longer post here because they made some spelling mistakes.
TheatreDiva, you actually said "spelt" which is not a word...it is "spelled." I wouldn't have really cared if you used the wrong spelling, BUT YOU WERE CRITICIZING SOMEONE ELSE FOR THE SAME THING!!!!!

My point is, can't we all just try to be a little bit nicer? Honestly...this isn't a university, it's a message board. I really don't think people should be told not to post unless it's for a much better reason than a few spelling mistakes.

This is a little uncalled for here guys! Read back and see how nasty you have been? Its an open, public board board for anyone and they shouldnt have be spoken to like this. Easy.

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

My posts are not almost illegible due to spelling mistakes. Besides, I have Foxfire, and it didn't seem to mind the spelling.

And we aren't being nasty, but come on, get SOME of the words right.

spelt and spelled are both correct in that particular context.

As for Winston's excuse that what he's saying needs to get out there quickly at the expense of clarity, I wonder what the urgency was in the post that opened this thread. Color Purprple emergency?

Add a spell checker to your browser, Winston. It's simple. And you'll avoid all this crap. Plus it won't be so difficult for us to try and decipher what you're trying to say, which can be annoying and frustrating.
