Did anyone actually see "Four Christmases"? I was shocked at how awful, broad, unfunny and genuinely mean-spirited it was.

Yeah, just saw "Four Christmases" and I thought it was terrible. Such a waste of talent imo. I hope Kristin gets a role in a good film eventually.
Kristin was born to play Dolly Parton in a biopic about the country superstar. Whenever this happens it'll be the project that finally singles her out from the crowd.
Until then... its bit parts in crap. Period.
Maybe she is getting better scripts but not passing the auditions. She is pretty high profile.
I loved her on PUSHING DAISIES but she was playing a character close to herself (or at least the self she shows on talk shows) and she did it well.
Better parts will probably come her way.
I didn't realise she was 40.
She looks great.

Kristin's role in The West Wing was both fantastic and perfect for her as an actress.
Her role in Pushing Daisies is good and is perfect for a 'certain' side of her acting, but I think The West Wing really did it for an all round performance.
I agree with the above poster: She was BORN to play Dolly Parton.

I loved 4 Christmases.
Somebody bring back Cy Coleman's "On the 20th Century" to Broadway and fast...Kristin was BORN to play Lily Garland.
I think Cheno is trying to picks films she'll think people will actually see so she can further her career a comedy with Robin Williams? a remake of a classic beloved TV Series with Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell? a comedy with Vince Vaughn, Jon Vogt, and Reese Witherspoon? they do all sound like money makers on paper and RV and Bewitched were moderate successes and Christmases is doing well at the box office
ok, but instead of picking based on ideas and stars, she may want to read a script a every once in a while.
or let someone else pick the movies for her since she clearly has TERRIBLE taste.
she's not concerned with taste she's concerned with getting her face out there, if she wasn't then she would have never gone Hollywood
right, but getting her face out there in nothing but things that get ripped to shreds by reviewers and that don't last more than week in the top 5 aren't going to help her career. she needs to make GOOD MOVIES as well.
very true, i think in her next movie she playing coked out hooker or something haha which should be interesting let's hope that's a good choice

Is it me, or is it me, but is it in K.C.'s contract that she has to sing in everything she does? I have seen nothing (Film and TV) where she is not singing at one point or another. I wonder if it's in her contract.
:)
Well, if the adult roles stop coming at least she'll have a healthy career in kiddie television. This week alone, with my daughter, I've seen her in as a fairy in Tinkerbell, Miss Noodle on Sesame Street, on the Care Bear float at the parade, and as the ghost of Christmas present on a Sesame Street Christmas.
EDIT: Dr Theatre, I don't think it's in her contract. She doesn't sing in Tinkerbell or either Sesame Street appearance. And I'm pretty sure there's no singing in Running with Scissors or Bewitched.
I thought she was singing in Bewitched very small but at the start of the scene and she was singing in RV, Kristin, Pushing Daises, West Wing, and Four Christmases...I guess it just seems like it!
I just think most directors can't resist have her hum at least a few notes. Still, I seriously doubt it is in her contract. I don't think she's that much in demand to warrant such a request.
She needs to stop playing child-women, and take on a truly adult role -- a woman. Something like, say, the Maya character in SIDEWAYS, so memorably played by Virginia Madsen. Leave the giggle and the post-Sally, post-Glinda twinkle out of the mix, and just act the part of a grown-up. At this point, her talent cannot be apprised because her choices are so repetitive.
I liked her in RWS.
:)
RV was entertaining - not something I'd want to watch over and over but its entertainment.
I havn't read any reviews for 'Four Christmases' but I like Reese Witherspoon so I figured it'd be good. Also Deck the Halls was mildly entertaining.
But I must agree she isn't an actress she is a performer and should come back to Broadway :)
I actually rather liked some parts of the "Pink Panther" remake (I have to admit to laughing hysterically several times, though I could have really done without other parts), but I felt Kristin Chenoweth's character in that movie was pointless and uninteresting. I'd have thought she'd have been a saving grace of the film instead of just... there.

Auggie, do you really think Olive Snook (her character in Pushing Daisies) is a child? Because I never got that impression, and the whole love triangle angle she had to play could so easily have veered toward immaturity.
I really adore Olive - she's a bit sad and lonely, like all the characters on the show, but also resourceful, kind, and brave as hell. I hadn't seen much of Chenoweth's character on The West Wing, so for me it was Olive who revealed to me how much Chenoweth can do as an actress. She brings the pathos as well as the humor and does it beautifully.

Here is a trailer for Into Temptation (just click play on the left if it doesnt work right away)
Her role in this film appears to be quite small, even though the plot seems to revolve around finding her character.... i think it looks interesting and if she actually has a bigger role than it seems in this trailer it could be a good role for her.

i agree....that is an interesting pattern...i hear they're making a movie of wicked...that could be a change..a good one, i hope
I can't imagine Kristin will get cast in Wicked, unless its in some type of guest staring role that isn't Glinda
(now don't get me wrong of course i would love that)
