I heard a strange rumor that the producers of this fiasco are bringing Lance Bass into the show (as the wedding planner) in an attempt to keeping the show running.
Does anyone know whether this is for real?

Awk. Ward. Maybe they could get that one Rodiney guy too.

I never want to see a show close but sometimes you wish that the producers would realize that their show doesn't need stunt casting, but rather editing and a decent director.
Lance Bass is ostensibly a bigger star than Reichen Lehmkuhl, his ex-boyfriend who first headlined the show. I don't think he'd get involved, but you never know. The current star is the lead on The Lair, and that show barely qualifies as not pornography.
What wouldn't surprise me is if they tried to get Reichen back now that he's a reality star on The A-List: New York.
And I can't believe I just devoted so much typing energy to this entire situation.

Reichen and Lance sharing the same stage?
(Somebody please pass the popcorn, this is going to be very entertaining!)

GAY ITALIAN WEDDING plays only 2 or 3 performances a week. Why would a "name" like Lance Bass move to NYC and work for an Off-Bwy salary for that number of performances? Is his career is such a stalemate?
Just thinkin'
They should get Jerby or Robbiej!
Wait, is this one of the characters that gets naked?

I'm sure Lance has a lot on his plate. Like. And. Not to mention.

There's no nudity in this play. When Reichen was in it, his character, "Andrew", played one scene in his tightie whities. That was it.
I can't vouch for either of his replacements.

Did anyone see Lance during his brief stint in HAIRSPRAY?

No, but I'm pretty sure I saw him as Maureen in a non-Equity RENT.

Was he any good?
