I can't seem to find it on youtube anywhere.

There is no footage available because when LuPone was midway through her speech, she saw the video camera, she stopped cold, and repeatedly yelled: "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?!?!?!"

hAHAHA nice. I just think its weird i can't find anything video of it. The footage of the performance is everywhere but not her speech? strange.
I've also been searching everywhere for Anika Noni Rose's Tony speech..

I have never ever seen it. I have only read about it in her memoir.
The footage was on YouTube. Her Tony was presented to her by none other than Faye Dunaway who ironically went on to play Eva Peron in an NBC-TV television movie.
I didn't realize it wasn't on youtube anymore either, but she gave a very lovely speech.
I'm sure it'll reappear at some point.

Why would someone take it down? I know she was in her Les Mouches suit cause her dress was a disaster and and right before her name was called she put gave her purse to her friend and said something along the lines of " hold this for me" HAHHAA god i love Lupone.

I don't find that it's completely removed from YouTube. There is one source that requires permission from the YouTube poster to view it.

John Adams You seem like a very intelligent person who knows a lot about theatre. What is your view on Patti and her legendary stories about Playing Evita?
That's her Les Mouches costume, right?

I have no clue as to whether/not some or all are true. Honestly, it's not that I don't care about that, but I wasn't there (and neither was YouTube or the iPhone) to validate them.
I think like most people, I enjoy the "ambiance" created by a good diva legend, especially when the diva is talented enough to warrant the attention paid.
I hope I'm practical enough to take in all the stories with a grain of salt. I also hope I'm mindful enough to understand that women who demonstrate examples of determination and focus are described as "divas" (or worse), but men with the same determination are described with more reverence.

John Adams: Have you read her memoir?
Funny how the negative stories about Patti are COMPLETELY CONTRADICTED by her humble and gracious speech when she won for Evita.
^^
Nope. The only theater books I own, or have read are Uta Hagen's Respect For Acting, and all the Stanislavski books. I also like (own) coffee table books with detailed photos that show backstage workings and construction of sets, costuming, props, etc... I'm more interested in the "how-to" and construction aspects (both literally and figuratively) of theater.
I'm sure I'd enjoy LuPone's memoir if I took the time to read it, I'm just not as motivated to do so. Besides, I can always google the anecdotes I read about, here. It's almost a 100% guarantee that somebody, somewhere has blogged, directly quoted, or summarized her book on the Internet.

What negative stories?
I think its horrible how the chorus people treated her during her run on Broadway. The worst part is stage management didn't do anything about it. Patti says the reason the hate started was because she yelled at the London choreographers when they kept telling her how Elaine did the part. How could she figure out the part if people kept telling her what another person did? Ridiculous.Im sure the london people were just trying to help. My beef is with with chorus kids who put up Patti's bad reviews in the basement next to the understudy's good reviews. What a horrible thing to do. Very unprofessional. Ohwell, i think we all know who got the last laugh HAHA.

I guess instead of "negative stories" I should have said "bad reputation in some quarters"
And yeah, HAHA! I'm sure most of those chorus members are overweight ladies on Long Island who recall the "glory days" and wonder why they're grown children never call.

I don't see how that is funny. Lots of stars put on a very different face for the public than what is seen when the fans are out of sight.
