Most likely the last leg of the Equity tour, yes.
What do you mean? The dates they have booked now are generally AS FAR as they book in the future.
And here they are, if you're keeping score.

He/she is asking if it is coming to an end anytime soon...and I told him, yes, this is probably the last season.
Les Mis normally takes a summer hiatus(Note that they have the month of August off.), and comes abck in the fall. My guess is that they will keep touring for a while.

Yes...I mean AFTER this 2005-06 season.
What I've heard is that it probably won't ever go non-Equity. I'm sorry I can't say where I heard that from.

I doubt it will, too...too much money...and I am sure the rights would be very expensive to obtain.
Oops, I wasn't clear. I meant non-Eq tour. The rights are supposedly out in 2008. (It was included in a subscribers' survey conducted by Sacramento Music Circus last season.)

It could be... The official Les Mis website stressed the word "FINAL" a lot as it listed all their engagements for the upcoming months.

Yeah.......I read somewhere that this was there final tour because they have released the rights to the show for performances for community theatre and regional theatre and that this would be its final tour.
Mirvish website reads...
"The North American tour of LES MISÉRABLES makes its final appearance in Toronto, in a limited, six-week engagement."
Thats what I heard

According to the commercial theyve been running on TV here in Washington, DC, they're calling it "The Last Engagement in DC- Ever!"

awww, I missed it here in Huntsville a couple years back, now i'm hitting myself over it. Unless I can make it to London - I'll never see this show!!
I'm sure flying somewhere like Tempe or Tucson would be cheaper then London. ![]()

Very true. I actually might drive up to Ohio in April. I think itd be worth it. I'll have to make sure to get tickets sometime soon, as I'm sure it will sell out.
this sucks, maybe i could make connecticut work.
Ahhh man you missed it when it came to Huntsville back in 2004...and you all missed it when it came to Birmingham....I saw it when it was in Huntsville it was AWESOME...I hate the fact that I missed Miss Saigon in Huntsville.
I really wish Les Mis would keep touring...but if they think they've run there course than so be it.

not to thread jack, but is the current (or most recent) CATS tour equity or non-equity? If it was not equity (or if Les Miz tour becomes non-equity) does that really change much? I mean, if you were to see the non-equity tour, would you still be able to say you saw THE BROADWAY VERSION of Les Miz or Cats?
Sorry, I always worry about this--I hate seeing things thinking they are BROADWAY but they are actually quite scaled down from that.
I hope the different community theatre reinterpret Les Miserables, especially set wise.
Well, all I can say is the sooner the tour ends, the sooner the regional rights get released! We Chicago-based actors would certainly like a shot at it (sorry, I'm not flying all the way to New York to go to the EPA).
