Issues with getting rush tickets and then putting them in Will Call?

So I have a friend who lives in the city who is rushing come from away for me, and because we are going to be so busy that day it will be very hard to meet.

So my question is will it be frowned upon when he gets the tickets and then immediately puts them in Will Call for me? Will he draw suspicion as a line sitter? Or should I just suck it up and try to meet at some point that day.

HogansHero said: "yes, and it is not just frowned upon, it's grounds for voiding the tickets. Your friend IS a line sitter."

How is it grounds for voiding the ticket? I haven't seen any verbiage from the show requiring rush ticket purchasers to actually attend the performance.

I don't know about Come From Away specifically, but I've never seen a show let you put rush tickets under Will Call (even if you will be the one picking them up later). It's always buy the tickets, they hand them to you, and that's that with nothing more required from the box office.
