CARMEN JONES (although NYCO does the opera CARMEN a lot)
THE RINK deserves another shot. We are getting a local production here in Feb.
With the right star WOMAN OF THE YEAR can be fun and entertaining but what star would stay with it long enough to pay back?
Some shows that people often ask for revivals have been done here recently and they don't really work..or need considreble revison: DROOD, ON THE 20TH CENTURY, & PIPPIN
I finally saw LADY IN THE DARK here last year. Fantastic score but the book needs to be tightenede. It repeats a lot of information needlesly. Prune it down to 2 hours and it will play beautifully
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

If they did a revival of Dreamgirls would it be the revised updated music with the added song(cause i cannot live with Love you I do, Patience) Listen ,might not work as well, unless she was left on a dark stage , but that might be cutting into Effie's And i am telling you
What do you guys thing
Cause the revised score it Hizzott
