With one look they'll forgive the past
They'll rejoice I've returned at last
To my people in the dark
Still out there in the dark... (Oh brother those people are in the dark!!)

Posted: 7/18/05 at 1:03pmI saw Kristin play Dainty June when I was a kid in Dallas. Why does she never mention THAT in her bio!

I think we ALL loved that video. It will hold a special place in our hearts...just like Idina.
Back on topic. Was anyone here actually *at* the last performance?

Waves! Only time I ever won that damn lotto.

Posted: 7/18/05 at 2:01pmWasn't that the day that like 1,800 people showed up at the lottery?

HEh, I was there a few days before she left, and two weeks after she left.
That isn't sad, is it?

You won the lotto?! Mucho congrats Michael, even on a NORMAL day that process is cut-throat!

LOL -- I should have scalped that ticket! No, it was seriously very cool. Kristen was hanging up in that bubble for about five minutes while the audience screemed before she could even get out her first line.
And of course there was the whole added bit in "Popular."
The crazy thing is that I ran into a friend from High School who also won the lottery that I hadn't seen in years! Pretty crazy considering I went to Highland Park High School in Texas -- half way across the country.
She had no idea who Kristen Chenowith was, and during intermission she asked me if the crowd was "always Like this..."
So certainly a day I'll never forget!

Posted: 7/18/05 at 2:26pmIt was about how to be popular. Things about applying deoderant, wearing fresh underclothes, 'and to always keep your beautiful smile'. ...pretty funny.

That's so funny Parks. What a SMALL world. I always thought HP had a great drama department (is Mr. Masters still there too?) but we always had the WORST sets. We did 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and it looked more like THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
And yes, the bit was just as Parks describes. She pulled out this big book (much to Idina's surprise) and ratttled off that list..

Were you in Seven Brides... in 90 or 97? (I got so excited that I just ran up to my room to look at our program with all of the old shows in the back...
)
Mr. Masters is still there. I'm taking Theater Arts II with him this year.
