JERSEY BOYS Film Release Date

Seems like it's set for a summer release... I guess the studio doesn't have it pegged as an Oscar contendor for 2015.

Looks like there will be three musical pictures in 2014. 'Into the Woods', 'Jersey Boys', and 'Annie'. Though I'm not sure if I will see the third one.

"The Last 5 Years" film will be released next year, as well.

I have zero interest in Annie as well. The TV movie was good enough for me.

Just because it's released in the Summer doesn't rule it out of Oscar contention, look at "The Help".

If it's done well it could get some Oscar recognition. It's an amazing story and if well told could do very well come Oscar season. Also the performances need to be good and I'm a little worried about Erich Bergen because I haven't heard many great things about his Bob from the stage version.
