I think it's Becca's? We ate there also----very good! I thought it was a little more pricey---the prix fixe was $29 if you wanted the entire soup-to-nuts meal---but the food and ambiance were wonderful. It's more of a formal experience than Daniela's---it just depends on what you want. Both are very good.

Well...Jersey Boys and great Italian food! What a great weekend...thanks for your help. I am really looking forward to getting up there again, especially in the fall. We don't have fall here in Florida, just an endless summer, it seems. Hope that the entire original cast is there. I have never bought an OCR of a play until after I have seen it. This one intrigued me, and I am so glad I did! What a great group of talented performers they are...

I recommend Maria Pia, and it's on 51st Street, a block away from the theatre. Website is below.

So he's actually back in the show a little more regularly and often? Healed and well again?

That place looks amazing! Thanks for the link! I will definitely make reservations there for that night. So many restaurants, so little time. Looks like a great place to go before the play! Staying at the Marquis, so it's well within walking distance...

Mangia E Bevi on 53rd and 9th is awesome. I go there almost everytime I am in NYC.

Yes John is back and better then ever. He was in fine voice on Sat and Sun. It took a while but the cause of his problems were finally pinpointed to Acid Reflux. On some good medicine to control it and he is back to normal and excited about it. It was killing him that he was out so much. He has a great work ethic and wanted to get back as soon as possible.

Has anyone heard if the other principal cast members are staying as well?

My daughter has acid reflux...it's a really difficult thing to live with. I can totally understand why Mr. Young was out so much..not only is it uncomfortable, it also can ruin one's esophagus and can cause cancer as well. I shared with my daughter (who is away in college)what was on JLY's blog - that it causes sinus problems, which is something that she also suffers from!
What are the chances of the entire original cast staying through October?

I spoke to one of the "Boys" this past weekend (I prefer not to say which one.) When I told him this was the second time I was seeing the show and still hadn't caught all four principals performing together, he said "that's alright, none of us is going anywhere anytime soon."

Thanks for that info. I'm glad all of the four principals are intending to stay on awhile longer. Hope you enjoyed the show as well!

I just looked at JLY's blog and it said that his last performance under his current Jersey Boys contract is October 1...is that a good sign that he'll stay on?

I'm also glad that they're all planning on staying. I'm going to try and get up there really soon so I can try to see them all.

Hey if anyone knows, kindly share the word.
I have tickets for October 25th and my brother is coming in from Florida to see JLY at this performance. He is so looking forward to seeing this show with him in it.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

LucyDee, I'm in the same situation---my brother is coming up to see the show with me on the 24th (from Florida) and I would love for him to see JLY----
Shouldn't an announcement be coming soon?---Oct. 1st is in a few days.

The four guys all renewed their contracts. I am not sure how long they all agreed to stay, but they're staying for a while.

PJ----where did you hear that they extended their contracts? I hope it's a reliable source because I really want to see all 4 of them perform! (I've been looking on playbill.com and JLY's site---can't find any info)

Hey, what I don't understand is why doesn't John just state it
on his website or the Jersey Boys Blog.
So many people are asking its like they are waiting for the very last minute to make an annoucement but I can't understand why?
Lets all keep our fingers crossed that all 4 origninal guys stay at least until the end of this year so the folks who already have tickets can see this show with the origninal cast.

My sources are those directly involved with the production at the August Wilson. They all signed on for a while longer. I heard a RUMOR earlier this week that they had signed for a whole other year, but that seems unlikely. I could be wrong, though.
