Does anyone do this show anymore? I like some of the Brel songs.

Would this show go over in Houston (you know with there being some fur'ren singing and such)?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I love this show.

There was a production just mounted last year (or so) off b'way. (Unless my mind is playing tricks.)

My gut feeling, however, is that it is not a universally loved (or known) piece. I think appeals to the artsy farty type.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Funny you should mention that! It's one of my mother's all-time favorite shows based on a production she saw at the University of Houston directed by Sidney Berger in 1977. It also had a successful run at the Alley Theatre in 1973 and at Main Street Theatre in 2005.

It does track. That revival was 7 years ago. It ran for a year and was pretty phenomenal. It also generated a great cast album.

I saw a production at the Stratford Festival two summers ago.
