Sanda...not sure if you know, but yours and my post were "highjacked". Some"one"...you know what I would love to insert in that "one", right? :{...apparently tried to come off as amusing by changing the title, but fell short (actually , don't you apparently-no-better-way-to-get-your-kicks posters know that it is QUITE boring by now, honestly!) I edited mine, and hope you can still edit yours, Sanda.
Thanks for the reminding. But it doesn't bother me and I am just too lazy at the moment.
When did James do the concert with Kevin Earley? That's one I am most interested in knowing. I would truly appreciate it if someone catch that and share the details.

I went and I really enjoyed it also! It was one of the best concerts I attended if not the best! I actually liked this venue better than Sardis and I agree, there were no bad seats. I also wanted to go back Friday or tonight, but the weather ruined my plans also
But I am very happy that I got to go. I agree about his sense of humor, I love it! And that is true about him signing stuff, I got the poster and CD signed. I can't wait until his next concert and I hope he records more CDs! And that is so nice that James told them to refund your money! He's such a sweetheart!

Yes, he is--- and it was extremely nice of him !! We REALLY tried to get there, but made it really hard trying to get there with my daughter--
My guess is that he does the "Love Song" concerts again- (and agree--- LOVE the venue)-- so hopefully, he will do them at "Bill's"-

I saw the last concert of James Barbour's Holiday Concert at Bill's Gay Nineties this Saturday. It was a perfect blend of cheerful Christmas music and the marvelous songs that soar up into the stratosphere as J.B. can do so magnificently i.e. "Oh Holy Night". Was than an Ab???
James also gave us a lovely guest, Michelle Wolf; read "The Night
Before Christmas", and told some funny, funny stories.
Bill's G. Nineties is an antique of a warm, intimate venue that lends itself to Christmas music. We had excellent sound and seating and from where we sat, I could see an amazing snow storm
developing on one side of me and J.B. singing warm Christmas notes on the other side. The show was truly a Christmas show. I
will not comment on the trip home in the snow storm, but it was
well worth the beautiful music.

It's not and there may have been one or two other songs that were not Christmas songs, but the over-all feel of the night was
Christmas.

MetroLady, and anyone who got to attend any of the concerts...would you post the songs they sang in your concerts when you get a chance...? I particularly would like to know if Michelle sang " Evrything Must Change" (James said it was sung in the LA concert). I'd like to know which one was sung...seems there are a couple of songs called the same title out there.
Thanks :)
His CD is amazingly well done, and, well, the way he sings "Oh Holy Night" is...just so unique...very different from any version I've heard. I think this is the best version I've heard so far. And I truly love his take on "Twas the Night..." :)

His "O Holy Night" is the best that I have heard !!! LOVE it !!
Made copies for a few people at work, and they cant turn it off !! Sounds like he is going to be doing his "Love Songs" concerts again in Feb--- really need to hear "Loving You Keeps Me Alive" and "I Can't Recall" again live !!!

"Made copies for a few people at work"
Testing...why don't you or them download it from iTunes, so James can get the credit and revenue...? I hate to see an artist miss out on what is due to them. I know you meant well, but I think it should not be copied and passed around like that.
I gave a couple of copies away to friends, and they loved it, also! I wish a whole album could be recorded in the future, with these two included...though I am just grateful for having this to play over and over again (I play it in my car all the time).
I'd love to make it to the Love Concerts...I just want to hear, at least once, those songs sung live, also. Those you mentioned are two of my faves :)

I bought (2) hard copies at "Bill's" and downloaded it 2x from itunes as well --- I also sent the link to around 10-15 people at work and they also downloaded. The ones (and there were only 2) that I burned copies for were for people that 1) are not that computer savvy (myself included--- my wife does all of that stuff) OR would not have spend the money to download it.
Yes, I understand its only a few dollars, but the holidays are tough times, (especially these days) for many people, and people try and save however they can.
My other friend that I copied it for, (we treated her and her husband to the show on 12/12) is going thru a very rough time health-wise, so I surprised her with a copy. Dont mean to come off as "preachy", and sorry if the copies offended you.
Just wanted to clarify that we did download, buy "hard copies", and shared the Itunes link with a number of people.

Just another quick thing about the copies-- BOTH people that I made the copies for ended up buying James' "Broadway" CD as gifts for other people- :))
So, turned out even better---
And, sometimes a copy is not the worst thing--- years back, a friend of mine gave me a copy of a CD from a group that I was not familiar with-
That group was "Indigo Girls"- they quickly became my favorite group, and I ended up buying all of their CDs after hearing that one copy, and seeing them a ton of times in concert.
Everyone that I sent the link to (for James' holiday CD) is now dying for him to do the "Love Songs" concerts, so they can see him in person--- so, its all good :))

Testing, my apologies if what I posted did not sound right. Since you just said "I made copies...", that is all the info I had. I was just commenting on the fact that I think artists' work should be recompesed, that's all, no offense or anything more.
Thanks for the clarification...and I know you are a great Barbour supporter, so no need to explain more :)
Sorry you could not get to the last concert, I heard Jill, herself, was there.

Thanks, Testing! How did you know about that site...? I've not seen it on his official site, but I hope he makes it accessible there for everyone :)
I hope you are right, because, even if I bought a few copies, I wish I had bought more ("budgeting" problems...it was expensive for me to get there and get around, so I was counting my pennies on that visit ;D ). I am hanging on to 2 copies, which are MINE! But I hope to get more to give to more people that I know will love it.
So, Soliantu...there is hope!

Very special :) I tried to look this up in Cafe Press, but to no avail. Have you any idea how to access it without this link...?
Thanks.
Good to see that the Love concerts will go on as well
