Please, not Amy Spanger. I appreciate her in pop-like musicals, but her voice is not appropriate for this show. I amn not a big fan of "scream as loud as I can" in classical musical theatre scores.

- To be fair she did play Roxie Hart. And is a classical musical theatre score. And I doubt she screamed all over it. Because I know Kander & Ebb would NEVER have allowed that.

I don't know about Spanger in this role (I'm admittedly not a fan of ACL- maybe saw it on an off night), but anyone who saw Feeling Electric back in the day knows that woman can genuinely act.

Also, I would imagine that Diaz would do a great job in this show, from what I have seen.

If Charlotte has to put herself thru all that to perform this role, she should give it up.
I actually enjoyed her in the role but all that pain....
c'mon just go back to CHICAGO.

Regarding Rachelle Rak (yay, alliteration!), she was up for Shelia and she decided to stick with "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," not knowing that it was going to close like five days later.
