Posted: 12/17/05 at 3:42pmIt's all "new" music. The songs have different years listed by them, so they indicate when they were written. But they don't say if they were for shows. Though, there is one song that sounds like it was cut from L5Y, as he says Cathy in it.

Posted: 12/22/05 at 8:25amI just got it in the mail yesterday and I REALLY like it. You can tell that "I can be in love with somebody like you" was from L5Y and it is a great song. In fact, they are all great songs. I hope he comes out with a new show really soon.

and "over" for some reason, I think he writes much better ballads than up tempos.

Posted: 5/13/06 at 11:24amI just started listening to this CDagain. It takes my breath away. "Long Long Road" is amazing, as are the rest of these finely crafted songs. For me, JRB really represents how to smartly combine rock/pop music with something dramatic and uniquely theatrical. I find most rock/pop music for the theatre to be fairly simple and repetitive. JRB just "gets it". He knows how to stay modern without sacrificing the lyrics, themes, and integrity of his songs.
