I totally read this as 'House of Leaves' only, and got excited that my favorite book was being made into a play.

Epic cast though.

But I still want to see House of Leaves onstage. Anyone other fans who suffered sleepless nights from that novel out there?

I assume she'll be playing Bunny. This cannot open soon enough.

She is perfect for Bunny. So excited.

Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Yay! This is wonderful news. And when is David Cromer getting canonized? Seems a bit past due now.

And when is David Cromer going to direct something no one else has directed yet?

And why can't anyone write a new play for these famous people? Is it fear of appearing in something untested that prompts them to do nothing but revivals?

You're absolutely right. I think that's exactly what it is. You've hit the nail on the head again.

Well, it seems to me, JJL is a much better Bananas and Edie Falco could KILL as Bunny. Those who weren't lucky enough to see the original Lincoln Center cast saw how a great Bunny (Stockard Channing) could steal the show even from a very good Bananas (The Swooze). Edie can obviously do crazy very, very well (Side Man) but I'd personally kill to see her Bunny. (Saw Jane Kaczmarek do it in LA, and she was a little too obvious in the role).

I thought when Christine Baranski took over as Bunny that that was excellent casting. Stockard Channing was fine, but Baranski looked more the part of an ugly duckling, working class woman. I could actually believe that Baranski had all those jobs she says she worked. I could also believe she was the type to tell a story about Sandra Dee's night of hell as if she witnessed it herself. Not so much with Channing.

Lookswise, maybe not. But acting talent...Channing easily won.

Once again I am a (possible) wet blanket.

Does Jennifer Jason Leigh have a sense of humor? If she does, I have never seen it. This whole play needs a funny spin on some serious topics.

Did you see her in Abigail's Party? Her wit was razor-sharp and sherry-dry.

Christine Taylor (Mrs. Ben Stiller) should play Corinna Stroller. Vince Vaughn should play Billy.

So let's see:

A woefully miscast Ben Stiller

Edie Falco in the wrong role

And Jennifer Jason Leigh who is not an ugly duckling and we're not sure can play farce

"And when is David Cromer going to direct something no one else has directed yet?"

He directs three revivals in a row and all of sudden that's all he does?

She can definitely do ugly duckling. She's done it numerous times before. And I never thought of Blue Leaves as a farce. Absurdist comedy, sure. But not farce.

I do agree with Namo. She really needs to unclench and stop growling so much. But I do think she's a brilliant actress.
