Jennifer Laura Thompson IS the new G(a)linda

Jennifer Laura Thompson will take over the role of Glinda from Kristin in WICKED!!!! Jennifer is Tony-nominated for her performance in Urinetown and she will start on 20th July!
Will Jennifer be gd in this new role? Because Kristin's Glinda seems to be perfect!

J-La can sing circles around Kristin. I *have* to see Wicked now. Now if ONLY Stephanie Block would take over for Idina... that right there would be IDEAL casting.

Those two together could make me actually WANT to see Wicked.

You haven't really heard Kristin sing unless you've heard her in WICKED. The stuff I saw from CHARLIE BROWN, I really didn't like her, but she shows so much depth and such range...

No, Dtephanie Block was the Elphaba understudy out of town. She left to do Boy From Oz. She DID go on as Elpbie once.

...because it got her a Tony Nom and got her face out there... she got to go to Broadway in a leading role, as opposed to Idina's understudy...? I think she's a smart cookie. Now she needs to REPLACE Idina and all will be right in the world.

Right... I know it didn't get her a Tony nom... in fact I was quite pissed about that. I mistyped that last night... it should have said she "SHOULD have recieved a Tony nom".

Stephanie and Ann should have had noms over Jennifer and Karen, by a looooong shot. Ridiculous, I's tell ya.

Jennifer Laura Thompson is extremely talented and you can't base an opinion on something you haven't seen yet. And why would we want someone who is EXACTLY like Kristin playing Glinda? JLT will make it her own instead of someone like LBB who plays Kristin playing Glinda.
