im sry r u an english teacher or just an old fart who cant abbreviate things online...its sad...
reason 1)saw her in footloose, fit the role, liked it
2) saw her in urinetown fit it, liked her
3)she is not a ditz and cant play this role...she just wont fit...lbb would work better

As poorly based as those opinions are, at least they prove you have a conscious thought process.

By the way Len Cariou is not a cannibal, Alfred Molina is not a Russian peasant, and Brad Oscar is not a member of the Nazi party. Just because they play them doesn't mean that's how they are.

his name is patrick catullo and he is an assistant to david stone...i went to the gershwin theater last monday at 10 am and saw her rehearse...look in the playbill of wicked where the small print credits r for his name and if u dont believe me thats ur problem cuz i know i was there...

surely....i sat in row e of the g.win...she sang popular to idina, then to eden...then kristin and her consulted eachother for a while, and then jlt and idina sang for good, then she sang with eden and then jlt and idina did some scenes together (ie : elphabas entrance at shiz, argument in the cornfield etc) i left b4 it ended

I feel the same way wickedfan330, Wicked was torture enough when they performed for an audience. I'd hate to have to see it in rehearsal.

oh yeah... JLT really sucks...she's only done a few bway shows...regional theater...tony noms but my god she is SO bad.
Im thrilled for her... there is obviously a valid reason why LBB was hired and then had someone else take over.

I think JLT is a GREAT choice to replace Kristin.

Vocally, she's just right, and her comic timing is terrific. She was hysterical in URINETOWN.

I think the producers/director made the right choice by not having Laura Bell Bundy take over. She's funny and all that, but vocally, she just doesn't cut it.

I'm not even going to START comparing Jennifer to the previous mentioned Galindas. Granted, I've yet to see her in the role, but having seen her in many things, I can assure you she can play the ditz.


Did you ACTUALLY see Urinetown? Hope is quite the flake. I don't know if you were sitting in the same theatre I was.

I also saw her in Pardon My English and she was delightful. She can be ditzy, but still manages to convey enough spunk and goofiness to keep it fresh and interesting. She is little and cute... I say, throw a blonde wig on her and she's PERFECT for Galinda.

Not to mention her voice is so rich and soothing. Her upper range is every bit as glorious as her lower and she has such fluidity. Her voice is much easier on the ears than Kristin's and she can sing circles around Laura Bell Bundy (who's voice, in my opinion, isn't up to par for the role).
