AHHHH! That just reminded me. Ryan Link was the understudy on the Aida tour. We are being attacked!

Jeremy was Roger for nearly four months at the tail end of the Rent Benny tour, as well as the mentioned Canadian cast.
Apparently the current Roger, Ryan Link, is going out on vocal rest for an indefinite amount of time. Given the way things tend to work around those parts, and the way that article sounds, this doesn't appear to be all that temporary. Hmmm.

I don't like Kushnier.. I wish they had gotten Joshua Kobak... he shoulda took over that role a LONG time ago... he is RENT's male super-swing and god knows he is teh best damn Roger you'll find... absoluetly SOLID in both voice and acting which is more than can be said for most RENT cast members.

With that, I couldn't agree more.

As long as Matt Caplan doesn't leave, I'm a happy guy.

Kobak is so plastered and boy bandish. Matt is naturally cute. Craplan? Wow that explains why he's been in RENT how many years, and you're on a message board discrediting him. Hmmmmm....

(Sarcasm.) Wonderful deconstruction of Matt Caplan's Mark. Nothing like a good old ad hominem attack to get the juices flowing. (End sarcasm.) Care to actually give so much as one reason why Matt's performance - hailed not only by fans of Rent but by seasoned theatregoers who were unimpressed by every other member of the cast - is so unworthy?

I really enjoyed Jeremy as Roger when I saw him on tour. I also enjoyed him as Radames. I'm glad he's coming back to b'way.

*Clicks tongue* Why not Joshy, WHY?
Or Sebastian...*Surrenders to flaming* Seriously though, Sebastian's way more passionate in the role than the both of them, and his voice has improved a lot. I saw him a few weeks ago, and he was able to hit all those notes he couldn't hit before.

I couldn't agree more. I saw Koback perform as Roger in pittsburgh and he was fabulous.

It not ine specific thing about Caplan's performance.. it is just SOMETHING there that rubs me the wrong way.

Well I'm glad to know at least you're reasoning for making fun of Matt is valid. He "rubs" you the wrong way. Gotta give points for those intuitions.
Josh is a talented Roger, but in my opinion, he's too boybandish to play the part. Roger's cute, but not hott.

Jeremy Kushnier's "performance" of Roger was the second worst I have ever seen. And I saw Sean Keller. So you know when I say bad, I mean bad, B-A-D.

Manley was good at first. I can only vow for what he was like when he replaced Sean.

More recycled boring crap. Methinks there's a reason the guy hasn't been on Broadway since his debut in Footloose, over 5 years ago.

Isn't Jeremy Kushnier gay? I could have sworn he gave me a se-X-y look when I shook his hand.

He's not. Why does it matter, though?

Jeremy was phenomenal in Footloose. I loved him- I think he has an amazing voice. I imagine he would be great Roger, although I've never seen him. Maybe I'll try and see the show. I am a fan of his.
