Do you have Mercury Poisoning?
Marie's story
In 2001 I suffered from a severe case of mercury poisoning due to the unsafe removal of a "silver" filling by my dentist. It was very difficult to find the cause of my sudden illness, because few health care professionals are aware of the symptoms. Now I dedicate part of my time to warning others about "silver" mercury amalgam dental fillings.
I hope my story will help you understand your CHOICE of dentists and materials they use in your body.-- Marie Flowers, a Virginia homemaker

Meet Mercury-Poisoned Jeremy Piven's Fishy Celebrity Doctor
Here's a statement from a real doctor, Brian Schwartz, an MD and professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. First off, Schwartz wanted to stress he didn’t evaluate Piven. The particulars of any patient’s case can make all the difference, we know. Even with that caveat, we thought Schwartz had some insights worth sharing. He said:
"There are some complexities in evaluating Mr. Piven’s situation. It is true that if you eat a lot of fish you can get a very high blood mercury level and there have been a number of studies documenting it. But you have to distinguish between having mercury in your blood and being intoxicated or being poisoned by it. In Baltimore, we did a study where we measured the blood mercury levels of 500 adults, and the average was about 2.5 micrograms per liter. If Mr. Piven is at six times the average, he would be between maybe 12 and 18 micrograms per liter, and most doctors in traditional medicine would not call that mercury poisoning…. I’ve seen a lot of patients within that level and they are not debilitated."

"It is ironic that the producers have filed a grievance against Mr. Piven, since if anyone has legal claims relating to this matter, it is Mr. Piven. Among other things, the production failed to pay his required compensation and he has been defamed in the media by their false accusations."
I don't get this part...and other people have said on here that Piven could turn around and sue the producers...
What could he sue them for??? From the statement, it sounds like he wasn't given his "sick pay."
But why else would he sue them? It's not like they're spreading lies about him...they're just pointing out all the other stuff was going on...the "mono"...the fact that he's been trying to get out of the show for ages...he was seen partying, he'd come in late every day, cancelled a performance so he could go to the Golden Globes.

Jeremy Piven should not be on Broadway after this drama. He is just an a*****e. This makes me ask the question Why do producers want movie stars in their show? If I was a producer I would rethink before paying a Hollywood star more than a seasoned performer and them complaining and possibility suing
I must say I enjoyed that picture of him with a fan that showed up on Perez Hilton's blog. It was taken a couple days before he left the show. He has a bloody nose. Hm, I guess the theatre was rather dry that day, or maybe it was the mercury.

What I really like about this is that there is proof of him going partying since he's left the play. Mercury Poisoning my ass.

dg, I don't really think it's fair to generalize about all movie stars that way. There may even be more jerks than not, but there also some lovely and classy ones out there.

LOL.
I love the video. so true. :)
I think he looked awful at the Globes. Maybe it was because he was sick from Mercury, maybe it was because he was sick of lying.
He looked awful at the Globes cause he didn't win. duh.

I have no idea whether or not Jeremy Piven's mercury poisoning prevented him from performing, but this much is for certain - he's either stupid or arrogant or both. Jetting around the world and attending the Golden Globes is not nearly as taxing as eight shows a week, but one would at least imagine that amid such controversy, the best thing to do is lay low for awhile so as not to invite suspicion. Sick or no, he did not do that.
