Posted: 9/2/05 at 8:51pmI think she's beautiful and amazingly talented. I always thought when she belted high notes it sounded funny, but that may be only becuase it's audio stuff. But I wish I could see the boyfriend, I'm sure she's wonderful in it.

Posted: 9/2/05 at 9:00pmthe Wizard of Oz CD with her and Eartha Kitt is one of my favorites. I saw the show in LA with Jessica, Mickey Rooney and JoAnne Worley. That was such an awesome tour... the witch getting to sing the Jitterbug was the coolest part...

Posted: 9/2/05 at 11:15pmI don't remember seeing the Jitterbug... But I also saw Wizard of Oz at MSG with Mickey Rooney as the Wizard and with Rosanne as the Witch (baaaaad choice.) But it was a cool show all in all. Eartha was a cool witch. I was only dissappinted when I saw the production because Eartha didn't come out of a trapdoor for her entrance as the witch, she just kind of ran out and there were sparks.. Lame.

...the witch sang Jitterbug?
I love Jessica. She's one of Broadway's fastest rising stars.

the original mounting of OZ at MSG left out "The Jitterbug" number, which is why it wasn't performed when you saw it with Roseanne, but when they came back the second year and had Earth Kitt as the witch it was decided to give her something to sing so "The Jitterbug" was put back and the witch sang an introduction to the song with Nikko, the flying monkey, prior to the cast starting in with "Did you just hear what I just heard?" etc... I think it was an inspired choice and should be available in the scripts from Tams-Whitmark for regional companies to have the option of using that alternate version, but it's not. it is preserved on the cast recording though which can be found on Amazon.com and other places...
