What is it with these popstars suddenly invading Broadway? I don't get it! And anyway....*twitches violently and foams at mouth* No Jessica in Wicked....I would have to burn my CD in effigy, and that, my friends, is not kosher.

*tear slides slowly down cheek* As many have said, Jessica has an okay voice, but I don't think that she could ever do Broadway. Her voice doesn't have the stamina... especially for Glinda. I haven't seen her act so I can't speak to that. In terms of Elphaba.... just no. No. That really does want to make me cry.

Oh yeah. I know there have been many topics on this... but I read online recently that when (in the not too near future) a WICKED movie is in mind they have considered Britany Spears for Elphaba and Hillary Duff as Glinda. They said that Britany "listens to the cd all the time." and is "obsessed with it." *sreams into pillow* Has anyone else heard any info of the like?

A girl gets booed, to which is apparent that NO ONE likes her, then her show on MTV gets picked up again.
Someone expose the phoniness that the Simpson girls are before Jessica becomes the next President of the United States!!!

NO! i protest the idea. sorry, even though i think she has a great voice, i cannot see her as Glinda. and dear goodness, ashlee simpson in Wicked? no way! i shudder at the thought.

Definitely not... as I have said time and time again... keep the Simpsons off Broadway!

And I disagree with teh majority of you, I do not like Jessica Simpson's voice & I actually think it's gotten worse over the years.

Excuse me, cathyhyatt, Dolly Parton is not disgusting! She is awesome! And she would be an incredible Glinda - she can act (Steel Magnolias??) and sing (greatest country singer ever??) and would be the perfect person for the role!! Plus Kristin C and JLT both remind me of her... imagine DP singing popular!! It would be brilliant!
