Let's say...

I like Jessica Simpson's music and I have her album but I don't think she can handle Broadway.

Let's say...

Let's say...

Um, no. Just no.
#29

Let's say...

I think Jessica could pull off Glinda. It would be different, yes - but different isn't always bad. I do, however, still believe that Nick and Jessica should play Radames and Amneris to Lauryn Hill's Aida at some point... wishful thinking Let's say...

I just threw up a little...
#31

Let's say...

Uhm...I admit I do enjoy Jessica occasionally but as Glinda? I think I'd rather jam a stake through my eardrum. I'd hate to see her try to hit those really high notes. No..just no.

BTW, baddadnpa...I'm in LOVE with your Danny Gurwin avatar! Let's say...

Let's say...

I saw the title to the thread & wanted to rip my ears off my head! I can't tand Jessica's voice. I think she could sing when she was younger, but now....she's pretty bad. I could throw up when I hear how badly she did Robbie Williams' Angels.

stop these inane topics already!
HROK?
#37

Let's say...

yes, please do stop...

I would rather shoot myself than have jessica set her foot on Broadway! We have such wonderful stars who have trained their whole life for Broadway, we don't need some celebrity to pop in and take that away!

Let's say...

jessica can sing but shes no wheres near AMAZING...her voice can be quiet annoying...she has a great natural voice but shes ALWAYS moaning...and even if she could sing the part...you've never seen seen her act...and a GREAT ACTRESS is a MUST...if you can sing and cant act it wont matter...just like idina and cheno...they both were amazing...but since cheno it such a better actress she totally upstaged idina..and wicked should be all bout idinas character but it came across to be more about glinda

Let's say...

wtf?
That is just insanity.
Please let her stay with her TV show and body products line and never come to Broadway..
#40

Let's say...

Jessica Simpson? Please...just thinking about here screeching the high notes made me want to go pop like, 12 Tylenol. I agree with QtKt. Let her continue making edible body products, thats the industry that she belongs in. I feel like her "live" voice doesnt really match her "album" voice. That annoys me to know end, when artists make millions of dollars off a studio-edited voice. It makes me hate them...sorry Jess, in this case, I cant say I am a fellow blonde and proud of it.

Let's say...

I honestly couldn't say what I thought until I heard her try to sing something remotely broadway-ish. What we are used to hearing her sing are very poppy songs that dont show off any voice range at all but she does have a pretty strong voice. Again, you'd have to pull her away from the very britney-esque music. But I wouldn't shoot her down just yet just because she is a pop icon. I mean I really don't like her reality TV shows or music that much but you can't judge her broadway talent by something as different as that.

And every time it comes up, I say... NO
NEVER

You know who would make an AWESOME Glinda? - Dolly Parton.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, she would be absolutely fantastic! I don't care if she has the range... I would pay a hundred dollars to see her in Wicked...
