Pamela Sue Martin is extremely happy and raising her son in Idaho. She runs her own theatre company there and directs alot of the shows they produce. She is an incredibly smart and talented woman. Their is a fascinating radio intreview with her on the web where she addresses everything from "The Poseidon Adventure", "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries", Dynasty" to her ultimate decision to leave Hollywood and build a new life for herself.
I also have the DYNASTY Season One set as well as THE HARDY BOYS/NANCY DREW MYSTERIES DVD set. She was one of my boyhood crushes.

In Joan Collins' defense I feel she had alot of potential when she was younger. She was either misused or misguided but I've had the opportunity to see some of her earlier performances and she realy isn't as bad an actress as people try to make her out to be. Later on she played up "the bitch persona".
Anyone only needs to check out some of her early films to know what I'm talking about:
"The Virgin Queen"
"Decameron Nights"
"The Girl In The Red Velvet Swing"
"The Wayward Bus"
"Island in the Sun"
"Sea Wife"
"Rally 'Round The Flag Boys!" (she gives a great comedic performance in this one alongside Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward and Tuesday Weld)

Posted: 7/17/05 at 2:42amPamela Sue Martin is writing her autobiography...is it sad that I'm excited about this?
#34re: Joan Collins talks about 'Legends'
Posted: 7/17/05 at 3:02amJoan is really talented..and she has that "star" quality I think....and by reading her books...anyone can figure out she is a very open minded and fun woman...she did many amazing movies and plays in the past. I was wondering if Pamela Sue Martin was the one that played Fallon? there was also Pamela Bellwood I think...I get them confused...and Convinceme2 ,who is that guy in ur avatar?
#35re: Joan Collins talks about 'Legends'
Posted: 7/17/05 at 3:07ammuscle23ftl, Pamela Sue Martin was the first Fallon (Emma Samms played the role later in the series). Pamela Bellwood played Claudia.

Please don't remind me how lame of a show "Dynasty" became. ALL of the Carrington children were played by more than one actor.
When the series began the Carringtons only had 2 children, by th end of the series they had a whopping total of 4 children.
Pamela Sue Martin as "Fallon" was replaced by Emma Samms (who was British!)
Al Corley as "Steven" was replaced by Jack Coleman only to be replaced by Al Corley (in the reunion movie) after it was explained he underwent extensive plastic surgery to his face after an oil rig explosion.
Catherine Oxenberg as "Amanda" was replaced by Karen Cellini, an "actress" who was discovered by Aaron Spelling at an L.A. McDonald's (!)
Gordon Thomson as "Adam" was replaced by Adam Sachs (in the 1991 reunion movie).

I never saw Dynasty, until I watched this Season One DVD. I love it. I can't imagine anybody being better than Al Corley and Pamela Sue Martin in their roles.
Muscle23, I am in my avatar.

Posted: 7/17/05 at 11:10amCM2 Pamela Sue Martin and Al Corley were the best "Fallon" and "Steven" . Those characters suffered once they left the show. That whole show just got redundant after the fifth year.

Posted: 7/17/05 at 11:25amWell, I can imagine that if they eliminated the middle-class element of the show (which the creator stated they did, in the interview on the DVD), and they only focused on the rich, then you can only do so much, before you stretch the limits of originality and plausibility. While I am really looking forward to a Season Two release, I admit I was disappointed to hear that the Blaisdels and Walter Lankershim were minimized or eliminated, completely. Not quite sure which.

Posted: 7/17/05 at 12:01pmmarquise...im impressed by ur knowledge...i would have never thought that Aaron Spelling eats at Mc donalds...haha...do u have a pic of Karen Cellini??? i dont remember her?
#43re: Joan Collins talks about 'Legends'

Karen Cellini in her opening credit shot from her brief stint on "Dynasty". She couldn't act her way out of a paper bag so they quickly wrote "Amanda" off the show.

Posted: 7/17/05 at 12:42pmCM2, it's true Matthew and Lindsay Blaisdale along with Walter Lamkershim were written out of the show. Claudia was the only character held over. Matthew (who was presumed dead) did return in the eigth (or was it ninth?) season to wreck havoc on Blake and Krystle's marriage but by that time no one really cared.

I JUST CANT GET OVER THE FACT AARON SPELLING WENT TO A MC DONALDS AND DISCOVERED KAREN CELLINI...HAHA....SO BASICALLY....CATHERINE OXEMBERG ,WHO I BELIEVE IS A PRINCESS GOT REPLACED BY A GIRL EATING AT MC DONALDS! I LOVE IT...!!!! STILL...I THINK AS LONG AS JOAN AND LINDA FIGHT IN THE SHOW....I DIDNT CARE WHAT ELSE WAS GOING ON.
I LOVE UR NEW PIC MARQUISE!!! THAT PIC CAUGHT ALEXIS' ESSENCE HEHE
