Half of the cast of one of my favorite films, Tea With the Dames, is now gone. RIP
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

She was also glorious in one of my favorite films, AVALON, as believe it or not, a Russian-Jewish grandmother. I swear she had studied my own grandmother to play the role. One of the greats.
I still remember seeing her in A Taste of Honey in December of 1960. She was incandescent---brought something remarkable and fragile to the role. Have never forgotten her performance. Also there is a movie, I believe it is called Tea With the Dames,, in which she and three other female icons of their generation: Maggie Smith, Judy Dench and Geraldine McKewen share their memories. It takes place at Ms. Plowright's home; at the time her sight was failing, nevertheless she came off as warm and sensitive. A truly great artist!
