She's the fired Annie and she was just on.. I must say she wasn't the best, but she was good and I enjoyed her
She looks really good too and I think she will make it far on here, she has a good pop career ahead of her, IMO

I'm surprised they did not do a whole segment on her being a fired Annie before she auditioned.

Thought the name sounded familiar.
I remember her from those "Broadway Kids" CDs I used to listen to obsessively when I was little and run around asking my mom why I wasn't on Broadway.

is she still on American Idol?
I have a TV and still have no noticed if she was there or not, maybe its because I forgot her name lol

I have not seen her lately either, but I read a rumored Top 36 list, which she was on.

<<<< Do you not have a TV? >>>>
yes Mr charleston. I have a tv. several actually. i missed the show yesterday, and could not seem to find her on the group show tonight, and either missed highlights of her from yesterdays show, or there wasnt any, which is why I asked a simple question. either references to her were brief, or the other posters and I all missed her.
I have to say - I really hope Joanna goes all the way. She's amazingly talented, and she's had some very frustrating things happen along the way.
I'm on team Joanna
They didn't point her out at all tonight or last night. Hopefully we'll see more of her now that people like Bikini Girl are gone.
I was surprised that the Annie thing was never even mentioned when she was on ~ though perhaps they weren't allowed to? ~ just that she had been with A&M but had been dropped so she's label-less.

thank you jordan. thats the wholen reason i thought she might be gone...not one mention of her. they seem to focus on a handful that are noteable in some way, and i really thought she'd be one of them...odd. i guess with no mention either night, we just assume shes moving on to next week?
I guess. I thought I caught a glimpse of her in one of the celebrating groups, but I wasn't sure. Then when I saw I think the same girl from another angle it wasn't her. But who knows.
I wonder if they're downplaying it since she has in the past had a recording contract ~ and even though it's now allowed as long as they don't currently have one I know a lot of people weren't thrilled Carly got through last year.
Looks like the guy who was in Wicked in LA is definitely still in the mix.

I looked for her too, but i felt like i saw a zillion girls with long brown hair lol. and the rest...i guess we'll find out, but they knew what they were getting with her from the beginning im sure....so? thanks.
Oh yeah. I know they knew what they were getting. I'm just saying maybe they made the decision not to play her up yet. Or she was in a drama-free group. LOL. There's no television without some kind of drama.
Yeah, I always laugh at those episodes - just get your group, and pratice!
They would have told us if she had gotten the axe.

I looked hard but couldn't spot her. Hope she's still on.

She is in the top 36. They showed her briefly a couple times in last night's show. She's great, but don't you think she would have already become famous if it was gonna happen? She's had a lot of chances in the industry.

Joanna Pacitti is a plant on Idol. I love her and I think she is super talented and very pretty, but she's been feature on many soundtracks. She had a song on the Legally Blonde 2 soundtrack and she had her OWN ALBUM, which was very good and had a hit single called "Let It Slide." You can find it under "Joanna" on Itunes and I suggest downloading all of it, if not "Let It Slide" and "4th of July." But she shouldn't win Idol or even get far. She's been given too many chances and this connection with the higher ups at AI is just one more reason she shouldn't get far. Idol is for discovering organic talent.

What are the rules for auditioning for Idol in the first place? I was always under the impression they had to be considered "amatures"....wouldn't that mean they couldn't have been considered "professional" singers? And wouldn't professional be defined as say, being in a performer's union, having an agent, being paid for singing?
Or is this all wrong?
I know in the past the big bugaboo was recording contracts. At first you couldn't have ever had one. It has since been altered to say you cannot currently have a contract. I'm not sure if there's a time-frame on how long you must have been contract-less. But I know a lot of this came up with Carly last year as well.
