cary, it's not that she's been given "too many chances," it's that she's been handled poorly. Her management team obviously sucked and she's obviously very talented. Her album was mediocre to say the least and I'm sure it's not her fault. She's immensely talented, way more so than a lot of the other women I've seen make it thus far. And as someone has pointed out elsewhere on the board, what makes for a more interesting show to watch--someone who cannot perform or someone who can? You can decide.

I for one am hoping Adam Lambert, Joanna Pacitti, and Von Smith go extremely far.

At one point they did have a rule about not being a member of any of the performers' unions (i.e. Equity, SAG, AFTRA, AGMA). Clearly that has been (temporarily?) ignored. I do know a few people who have been turned away from the auditions due to their memberships in Equity and AFTRA.

Could the possibility exist that she is not currently a member of any of them? It's not like membership is lifetime if you're not paying dues, right?

I teach right now, but if I stopped, I would no longer be a member of the UFT for example.

I know that various rules that were established for previous seasons are no longer in effect. Didn't the maximum age change? And then there was the season that Dolittle was on, she was a back-up singer for years, right?
So, the performer's unions rule must have been deleted. Because then you'd have to get rid of Adam Lambert, and who knows who else. Probably most of the current 36.

well, Adam Lambert made it through, and when I heard him sing Believe by Cher I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it

Yeah, it looks like she has been replaced already.

I thought she was great! I think she's dating/dated Mark Ballas from Dancing with the Stars.. Just thought I'd share. lol

It sucks for her, but I'm glad there is apparently more to the "close personal relationships" than just living in the same apartment complex. I don't think I'd EVER be "close personal friends" with anyone in any of the apartment complexes or buildings in which I lived (except for one roommate in Virginia who was amazing).

I can't believe they thought Felicia was the best option to replace her though. Talk about blah.

You would think they would do some investigating after these people are initially accepted. At least they didn't let it get any further. I feel bad for her.

this sucks for her :/ did you see how emotional she got when she was accepted into the top 36? and to think, it was probably worse when she heard this new

pianolin, did you HEAR the girl from VA? They would have been better going with the girl who had the sing-off with Kristin. IMHO. Felicia was NOT good.

the only reason I am excited is because there are rarely people from VA lol pretty much Only Elliot Yamin, but I really liked the girl who was the mother! (don't remember her name)

April Grace I think. The one with pink in her hair? It was something Grace. She's in.

Gotta say overall I am not too impressed with the group this year. Hopefully they'll get better, but mostly it's just blah.

I'm usually never impressed... I usually like 1-2 a season, and this season I really like Adam Lambert, and suprisingly my mom does too and she usually hates people with vibrato, but I hope he does well!
