John seems like such a great guy. I cannot imagine being attatched to a show for so long...since the beginning...and then perform for the last time.

I get sad when a 4 week show closes and I am just a lighting tech/board op!

I originally wanted to just write "Thanks Johnny" on a used MetroCard (re: his "There isn't much at all...except for this MetroCard") but I didn't have a Sharpie in my bag (which I couldn't believe! I ALWAYS have one!) and the pen I had kept smearing...not that it mattered anyway!

while we're waiting for more news on his last show. .. . does ne1 know if there's an avenue q tour being planned? if there is, what cities is it already scheduled to come to?

i think the show doesnt currently have plans for a tour, but a production in vegas...

What an amazing night !!! Just got back. The audience was absolutely incredible.. so into the show !!! Every number got a huge applause ! They even went nuts in anticiaption of Trekkie !!!

Crowd when beserk when John first appeared. I expected a standing "o", but the ovation was loud enough !!!

The cast basically kept right to the script. No real deviations at all. You can see John trying to hold it together in the second act. (Ann Harada looked like she was gonna lose it a few times !!)

Show ends and the audience goes nuts. John comes out, takes a final bow, thanks the cast, the crew, and in typical John T fashion, thanks the audience for coming out. He hugs all of the cast (each one shedding tears), and Jordan Gelber literally carries John off into the sunset. Amazing night !!!

Aww... Can't believe it is over... only got to see him once, but at least I did, so I appreciate that...

Thanks for the reviews and photos (respectively to each who posted them)!

If it weren't for stupid midterms I'd have pressed and pushed to try and go, but alas...

broadwaystar2b-- where is the photo with John barefoot in jeans on the couch with Rod and Princeton behind him from?
Love the photo-age...


(and Mabel--, "wanted to just write "Thanks Johnny" on a used MetroCard" hehe :) that'd be cute...too bad it didn't work... I'd been wondering right after I saw the show what they'd do when other things besides money showed up in the hat... wonder if an extra metrocard besides the prop one has been put in there before...
