Also, Broadway.com finally posted Josh Gad's last show date (June 6th), but no word on who is replacing him and it doesn't even mention Andrew leaving the show (even though it is June 10th).

Yes, it does:
Gad's co-star Andrew Rannells is also expected to depart the production shortly to star on NBC's The New Normal, which will air Tuesdays this fall.

I would think that they'll announce his replacement tomorrow, since his last show is the Wednesday matinee. I'm also guessing both Rannells and Gad are being replaced from within the company, or I would expect the announcements to have been made already. They must be having a hard time deciding which understudies/swings work best.
Josh Gad's tweet just now: "Well folks, I can finally set the record straight. Tomorrow afternoon's fan performance will indeed be my last. ?#goingoutwithabang?. ?#verysad?"

Andrew Rannells a little earlier: "The countdown to my final performance at BOM starts today. I apologize in advance for any over-emotional tweets in the near future."

It would be great, if Gavin Creel would play Elder Price, before the tour. :)

You know, that had crossed my mind. (He already has at least part of his costume ready!)

It would be nice if they announced at least Gad's replacement today. It's his last paying audience tonight. I don't really want to wait till tomorrow.

@LizzieCurry: Gah you're right!! That's what I get for just skimming through the article. And for some reason I don't think they will announce the replacements until this weekend...

I have a feeling that they Tony performance is going to be the big reveal.
The fan performance, probably.

I'm thinking it's Michael Mendez.
Having them reveal it on the Tony's would be a cool idea, especially if in some way Gavin could announce the next Broadway Price. That being said, they'll probably be telling the fan performance audience first.
Creel tweeted this: https://twitter.com/gavincreel/status/210208765667065857
and while I don't know if that means he's excited about the results of the California election, or that he's in California, it could prove to be an obstacle to him being in NY. Granted, if he is in California, I don't know how long he's there.
/analysis of one-word tweet.
Unless Creel's already been announced as a presenter at the Tonys and I missed that? I couldn't find anything about it.

I heard a rumor way back that Bobby Moynihan from SNL auditioned for Cunningham.....

I have a strong feeling that they are replacing from within the company. They had the stand-bys and understudies go on a lot recently and the creative team went to see those specific performances. I think that people have been auditioning for the tour and Chicago sit-down. Maybe to replace the stand-bys or understudies that assume the role. I don't think they'll be going for names.

Here's a picture of Mendez "getting the call from Broadway" but there is no mention of what show. He seems like the Cunningham type to me, though. Also, his sister tweeted about him booking a Broadway show (I don't know how to include more than one link)

When I do that, it doesn't turn them into clickable links.

I don't know if they have their first major cast replacement be a Broadway debut. It's too big of a show I think. These replacements are going to be a big deal since it's the first time. I think they'll want someone with more experience under their belt. Not saying that Mendez isn't talented enough.
We'll see tomorrow hopefully.

I feel like Mikes a little to on the nose....
Replacements will be Jared Gertner and Nic Rouleau for Price and Cunningham, respectively. Promoting from within.
Playbill article
Great for both of them, but I was excited to hear new casting. I saw them on together with Asmeret as Nabulungi and they were certainly a dynamic duo. Maybe this means Mendez as new standby and Will Blum will take the lead on the road and he has just been there for training....
Still interesting to know who will standby for Price next and the tour cast!
OK, I am emotionally spent after that performance. Wow.
Heard the last Nabulungi "name flub" was "Nikki-M-James". Recap? Twitter exploded today.
Yes, the last time Cunningham spoke to Nabalungi, the name flub was 'Nikki M. James'. The crows went nuts, and James just about lost it. The crowd was very enthustiastic and appreciative, and there was an incredible amount of energy in the theater today. Very emotional curtain call.
By thw way, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Keith Olbermann were in the audience. PSH was hanging with NMJ in the cafe next door to the theater after the show, and I think Josh Gad was joining them after he was done with the stage door.
